Got to our seats early for Senior Day, and watching Coach Campbell struggle through the hugs and tears hit me hard. He grabbed each player and spoke right into their ears...you could tell by the players reactions that it was very real and heartfelt. He is such a genuine human being, that truly cares for these young men. So happy this class act staff represent my university!

On a side note, I have also noticed all year when the "kid captain" comes off the field after the coin toss, CMC is there to meet them and he takes time to chat with them. Yesterday, he squatted down to the level of the little guy and shook his hand and talked with him. Again...classy.

Final question for Matt Campbell at today's postgame, "What's the emotion like sending those guys out of the tunnel one last time?"

Here's his answer.

This is a great clip, for those that haven’t seen it.

With how emotional he gets talking about the seniors and how much they’ve meant to him and this program, it’s about as real as you can get. Stuff like this is what makes me feel like he’s not just going to up and leave for jobs like Florida State.

This is the kind of coach you want your kid playing for. Life comes first, football way down the line.

We tried, but it took 30 min to get into the stadium. Hopefully next year that disaster is fixed.

Must have been different at the North entrances. We walked right in the main East Gate. No line. Walked to the southeast corner upper deck. Cleared the frost off the bench. Sat down. Looked at the time. 10:25am.

we hit the South Gate and it was around 2-3 minutes to get all the way through and we had to do a bag check.

Does the 'internalized, team led' philosophy and culture translate to high profile places like FSU?

That was awesome & genuine. That right there is why I don't think he jumps to NFL, at least not for a very long time. He know he won't get that kind fullfilment and have that kind of impact & legacy with NFL premadonnas

We went in earlier for this and I watched it all on the screen when I was in the very slow moving line on the north west side.

Simple truth of the matter: beer and alcohol are more important for some people than showing up to honor the seniors that gave everything they had and risked serious injury for 4-5 years at ISU for the fans entertainment.

It's the same reason the stands are half full when the players run back on the field after halftime, and why the SEZ is generally always about half full at best at anytime during the game.

Nobody should be drinking in the parking lot when nobler pursuits like watching 20-year old men run into each other are at hand.

there is some truth to that but sometimes it just takes way longer to get into the stadium than it should. It really is random. About the time you plan to stand in line you just walk right in and vice versa.

Let’s be honest, probably only about half of the fans even knew it was senior day, let alone that there was a ceremony before the game.
