What's streaming that's good TV/movies

Malcolm in the Middle: Life Is Still Unfair mini series on HULU is great if you're a fan on the original. Much better than That 90s Show reboot. There is a certain scene in ep 3 that had me rolling. I really hope this was a backdoor market test, because 4 episodes didn't feel like nearly enough.
I watched the original as it aired, and watching this new one made me realize I had forgotten how absolutely chaotic that show was. They did a great job of recreating that.

I've watched a few episodes of Based on a True Story on Peacock and it's pretty good so far.

Started watching a German spy/drama series Unfamiliar on Netflix last night. 1.5 episodes in and pretty promising. You have the choice of dubbed or subtitles so take your pick. I opted for the dubbing as it's pretty well matched to the main characters. BTW, softening my position on dubbing, at least situationally, since some of it is really well done these days.

Not sure now. Maybe going from promising to dumb. :(

SIAP way earlier in the thread, but I've really gotten into "For All Mankind" on Apple TV. I know the 5th season recently dropped and I started with Season 1, which means I still have a lot to go through, but just a fantastic show all around.

Gave in and checked out Apple TV's new series Margot's Got Money Problems. Holy **** this show is fantastic.

Don't have Snapple TV. Might have to sign up at some point and do a binge and than drop it like I do with other streamers. When I first saw Elle Fanning in Super Eight (she was great in that role) as a kid actor I thought she might grow up to be an adult movie star but she's not had a breakout role equal to that first big splash. Still, I am tempted to stream that Predator movie because she is in it.

Recently I’ve been enjoying Man on Fire and Dark Winds on Netflix. Other Netflix my wife and I enjoyed include Grantchester, The Residence and Bridgestone. The three seasons of Night Agent were good. Ted Danson’s Man on the Inside was a hoot. Black Rabbit, The Lincoln Lawyer - other than when ISU is playing basketball or football and some CNN, I don’t watch much else on TV.

Half Man on Max is pretty interesting and intense at times. Great cast and acting 2 episodes in. One of the actors/show creator (Richard Gadd) is the same guy that made Baby Reindeer so some similarities in both being crazy story lines.

Man On Fire on Netflix is kind of disappointing. Some lazy screenplay and average acting. Maybe I had too high of expectations because of the original Man On Fire with Denzel.

Uzo Aduba is an outstanding actress. She's not in enough films.

Yeah, I just started that one last night once I finally finished another series I had been watching and you could tell right away in the first episode that it's not what I was hoping. I may give the second episode a shot and decide whether to stick with it or move on but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Two episodes into The Lord of the Flies on Netflix. I think there are 4. It's decent, maybe a little too slow and melodramatic at times.
My daughter is reading the book for school and wants to watch it. Is it decent enough for a 15 year old? She handles most things well. Just curious if there is over the top gore and whatnot.

The original Man On Fire with Denzel is an incredible movie, one of my favorites, so it's definitely hard to live up to that one. I'm about halfway through the series and it's just ok so far. I honestly don't like how they turned the story into being about a large terrorist attack instead of the more personal story in the movie. If I wanted to watch 24 I'd go back and watch that lol.

Started Pachinko last night didn't quite finish the first episode since my wife wanted to go to bed but we're both very interested in it so far

Technically Denzel's was the second adaptation of the original book. Scott Glenn did a version in the late 80's.
