Seeing a lot of the latest Sandler movies, I had pretty low expectations. With that, there were some funny parts and would say it met and maybe exceeded what I had hoped for which wasn’t much. The Maxi golf league and the “tournament” was awful and pretty much sucked the enjoyment out of the movie with how stupid it was.

Did enjoy all the cameos. The whole Will Zalatoris thing was probably the funniest but Scottie had some good one liners as well.

I find it hilarious that “critics” give it a bad review. If you are going into this expecting “cinema” you will be disappointed. If you don’t like Sandler, probably avoid it, but otherwise it was entertaining and there were a couple of laughs out loud funny parts for me. Overall, it was what I expected, which is a W in my book.

I saw one in my newsfeed that said. "This is absolutely awful but I guess it's supposed to be".

Best Sandler movie since the glory days of HG, Billy Maddison. Big Daddy, etc... but meh. All the cameos were fun, a behind the scenes doc could be better than the movie.

I read a bad review and was nervous but for the most part they hit all the right notes you'd want from such a late sequel. The everyone's a drunk part was a bit depressing but the jokes were mostly worth at least a chuckle.
Haley Joel Osment is creepy.

Not a movie I’ll play on repeat but it was a solid watch. Not a total flop like a lot of 2nd movies. Will probably watch it again sometime.

To each their own, but I would put the movies listed above Happy Gilmore 2.

Grown Ups
That's My Boy
Blended
Just Go With It

Was on vaca with wife's side of the family all week and we watched it one of the nights.

Honestly, I wasn't a fan. Thought there were a few funny things here and there but overall it just didn't click for me.

I agree with most everyone. I got a lot of good laughs out of it and the first half of the movie was nailing it. But the second half Maxi league and tournament was dumb. Would have been better to have just had Happy redeem himself in the normal PGA league and maybe a showdown with Shooter to end it.

Part of my issue was that it kind of just tried recycling a bunch of Adam Sandler 90s-type humor/jokes/bits/etc. and it just fell flat. We're like 30 years later. Comedy/humor has moved on. A bunch of guys with "Happy Rules" shaved into their hairy backs just isn't all that funny to me anymore. It was back then for sure.
