What is the plan moving forward with Yonger, Ortega, Diversent, and Ech? They haven't wrestled freestyle matches in quite a while and I'm assuming they can no longer compete for Cuba/that's not even an option? Do they have any options once folkstyle is done?

Pretty sure Yonger & Ech will try to make a US team

Can someone give a little background on the Powe kid? I've heard excitement about him but never heard who or where he came from.
He came from pratt community college in kansas. from what ive seen hes a super athletic kid with a high ceiling. has really only wrestled one D1 match and that was 4-2 loss to Christopher Minto from Nebraska who got 4th last year. Looks to me like a kid who could make big jumps fast.

Buf87 would have much more insight than I, however, I thought I heard MMA was in the cards for these two? Of course, things change all the time, so who knows.

Also, I don't know what would prevent them from wrestling for Team Cuba if they wanted. US athletes compete for countries where there grandparents once visited it seems nowadays. Perhaps Cuba is more stringent though.

I think originally it was something about how they left Cuba. I thought at one time they could not go back and visit, which now they can and have, so their ability to wrestle for Cuba might have changed.

Yea, I have no moral quandaries with that. I do think its a big advantage for them in football to have 24-25 year olds on the line.

Another example, Brandon Weeden was 28 years old his final year at Oklahoma state when he was drafted by the Browns. And that has been 10 years ago! Seems like they have gotten more lax since then.

Henson, Alvarez, Casey Swiderski, and kannon webster all ahead of echemendia at 149. Henson going to redshirt and/or move up? Alvarez get eligibility? Casey going to be a starter? Kannon really going to make 149 again? A lot of questions there.

Is Ech going to be at 149? I think they got the right ranking there for Iowa State, but it won't be Ech
