I'd say BRE was the most, not speaking for the idiots on the board but the rest of us would take him back.Buchanan is the most **** on recruit I've ever seen on here. The 2nd most was Curtis Jones.....
And we have one of the deepest recruiting classes in ISU history coming in next year.Good Lord, you would think we were replacing every player on our roster, not returning Lipsey, JJ, Milan. And Heise. We'll be ranked top 15 at worst to start the year.
Does KJ Bluford have any eligibility left?IF Cluff is still in play this isn’t a bad option.
Mulder replaces Watson
Buchanon replaces Chatfield
Cluff replaces Jackson
I’m good with that.
Go find a diamond in the rough SG like Motherf**cker Jones and we’re back in business!
Have we officially "whiffed" on Cluff? He's visiting ISU on Monday, right? We've been locked in on all our first targets and only whiffed on Cluff so far. I like that Buchanan has 2 years too. We saw the jump that Rob Jones and Hasan made
Looks like Cluff is still scheduled to visit after finishing his visit at Purdue on Tues. As far as primacy/recency effects, we got both since he already visited ISU and will finish here as well. If he doesn't commit before Wed., I will feel very good about our chances.Right, it'll still be a solid team. I thought the point was to continue to improve? Our floor is probably similar, but the ceiling decreased imho.
Well, luckily you don't have to call swish in an NCAA game. If it hits every spot on the rim and still goes in, it still counts as two points. It appears he is really a poor shooter. Other than dunks, his shots were not going in cleanly.
I have a hunch TJ and Tony Bennett go way back and Tony brokered this deal.
That was an example of Hoiberg panicking.Does KJ Bluford have any eligibility left?
Sometimes a whiff can be positive. Maybe by missing we have enough funds and are able to grab an additional player that adds some depth and versatility to the lineup. We were wanting a solid 4 transfers at least and with the ability to add a 5th.We've been locked in on all our first targets and only whiffed on Cluff so far. I like that Buchanan has 2 years too. We saw the jump that Rob Jones and Hasan made
Yeah, I mean that's what happens when one of the best perimeter defenders in the country has a hurt groin most of the season. BRE and Ward were excellent perimeter defenders also. We were still a good defense, just not top 2 or 3 like the previous years when we had no offense.Yeah, BYU wasn't hitting 25 3's because of luck, it was because they were open. Look what Houston did to them the next game in KC.
I was definitely not liking Heise's play for a lot of the season, but he was great down the stretch. He has to be a key player off the bench this coming season I would think. I guess we will see how the roster looks when we are done in the portal.I think the hope would be that Milan plays the 4 and Heise simply gets recruited over (Rhode)/the freshmen take all his minutes.
Honestly I think Williams could end up being pretty good. I'm not sold on that, but the potential is there.Trying to figure out where the points are going to come from with the new recruits. So far nothing is jumping out to me.

Buchanan is bouncier than Jackson with a larger wingspanJudging by what seemed to be a majority of posts, we were all ok with Jackson walking because Cluff was seemingly in the fold. If Cluff is out, and this is the replacement...we somehow got less athletic/skilled in the post this portal season.
If there are no other moves expected for the post then maybe this means the staff is expecting big things out of Pleta? That's a big unknown though. At this point we've brought in 3 bench players. Hoping like hell Cluff is still an option...otherwise our ceiling has dropped considerably. Going to have to go back to the smashmouth, slow it down style.
