Blake Buchanan commits

I think Buchanan is feeling more comfortable with each and every game. He's gonna be a solid center for us.

And while Pleta is rough around the edges, I'd say he's definitely ahead of schedule for a freshman. He played some very meaningful minutes tonight against some extremely talented opposition. He's got a great body for a freshman, although I think he's 20 years old.

Wasn't sold the first few games, but am now. Great that he can guard at the top of the key. Really gets after it.

More of a BRE to me than Jackson last year. And better hands/offensive than BRE.

I remember thinking he was a settle after missing out on Cluff but I'm glad I wasn't dumb enough to post it publicly. Love this guy.

Hopefully he learned just to be big and go straight up in the last part of that game. No need to try to block shots and pick up fouls. Just be big and make the offensive player take tough shots.

Cluff would've been Dishon Jackson 2.0

The swinging door on style of play this year was made the 1st week of the transfer season is facinating to me.

The staff made the calculated decision to get a better mover at Center to help the perimeter defense like what ISU had in Ward and Osun at the time thinking they would be sacrificing some offensive production.

Cluff would have been good at ISU (has been at PU) a more efficient Dishon but we would have played more traditionally and with more most ups. I do think it could probably would have worked but ISU wouldn't be as quick or have the defense this team can play with a mobile center.

Blake has exceeded expectations on offense passing and rebounding and made this decision a hands down win for ISU.

Yeah for all the hype I've not been impressed by Cluff. He looks like the Philsberry Dough Boy
