I'm not that concerned with Devries leaving. I get he doesnt have the best roster, but he has some ugly losses.

Some of the more "insider" posters say the loss to colo. is a direct result of a lack of funding. Apparently, Devries told WVU he needed an additional 500k NIL to get a legit big man, and was told no.
I thought WVU spent heavily in the portal the last couple of seasons. I think they outbid quite a few schools to get Javan Small. I'm beginning to wonder if Devries is a coach that can only have success if he has superior talent than his competitors.

crazy GMac now has coaching tree with like 6 HCs
Otzelberger
Jacobson
DeVries
Huss
Henderson
Sellers

Pretty, pretty good.

Miller was the guy that Murray targeted from the very beginning. He's a really good recruiter and Murray is investing heavy. He'll join the Drake/Bradley/UNI/Belmont group quick.

I'm pretty sure he was already on the hot seat before they had a magical run in the conf and NCAA tourneys. Getting hot for several games isn't a reason to keep someone
Don't let the Iowa AD know that please.

Yeah, but 2 of his best 3 players have been hurt all or most of the year, and he never had a dominant big man on his roster.

If Niko is the guy at Minnesota, you have to think JR Blount is the first call for Colorado State with Ali Farokhmanesh also in the mix there.

Blount still has to be Drake's #1 as well (you'd think).

Just saw the odds for Indiana's job and McDermott was clubhouse leader at -200

But also saw a tweet from Goodman suggesting its McCollums, basically.

lol.

I know it has been suggested that McDermott doesn’t love Creighton’s new AD, but Indiana seems like a markedly worse job to me.

Goodman’s Tweets are unclear, but, as with TJ, I think he was indicating interest by the university that may or may not be reciprocated.

Just hire McCollum. He'll win and he'll be able to do it with readily available Indiana talent. He's your basketball version of Cignetti.

Plus, he's a clown on the bench with the stomping and making a show of everything, they love that there.
