Adding AJ still does not put us close to PSU.

Somehow getting Angelo (not happening) would put us closer but still a wide gap, and I think we will be pretty damn good.

I agree we are not getting Angelo, but I don't think the gap is as wide as you think if you add in both Angelo and AJ. That gives us very easily 4 title contenders with a lot of other expected/potential AA.

For the heck of it, let's pretend we get both AJ and Angelo. Those two plus Bastida and Ech are all four 100% title contenders. Evan Frost is knocking on the door next year. We'll say PJ AA's this year. You have additional returning AA's in PJ and Swiderski. Gaitan low AA. Euton and Castillo rd of 12, low AA. I know I'm missing one, but that roster right there is 9 potential AA's with a good chance at 2-3 champs. That 100% is good enough to run with PSU.

I also think AJ is probably reaching out to everyone and seeing if he can generate interest. I was no idea if Iowa State is seriously looking at AJ alone or only AJ and Angelo as a package or not at all.

I'm not positive, but I want to say it's because he completed a degree in Cuba already.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a bit on the older end compared to other college athletes, not that that means much these days.

Definitely a regular redshirt and an Olympic redshirt. Not sure how he would get a medical redshirt when not on a roster. Was his true freshman year a Covid year?

In his interview he said he had 2 years left and maybe 3! Don't understand that
