It went in at the old West Towne location. Original location is in Des Moines near principal park and the bike trail.Never even heard of this place. What is it and where is it.
I have no idea how they stay as busy as they do. I have literally not talked to a single person who has had a good experience there since they opened.Closing in on an hour at Mullets and still haven’t been served. Not a ton of options for breakfast. I talked to someone at Caroline’s when they opened and told them they need to be open for breakfast on Sat/Sun but they didn’t listen.I have no idea how they stay as busy as they do. I'll admit that I'm not huge on going out for breakfast, but I actually feel like Ames has quite a few good options for no larger than it is. The Cafe, Provisions, The Grove, El Jefe, Flip N Jacks, Perkins plus a handful of other small cafes like The Dot and Lockwood. Not a ton of options for breakfast. That’s fair. We were looking for a more casual spot with bloodys. Probably should have just done the cafe or flip N. Not a fan of The Grove personally.I'll admit that I'm not huge on going out for breakfast, but I actually feel like Ames has quite a few good options for no larger than it is. Yeah, you're right in that very few of those options are good for bloodys. I really hope that Mullets figures it out, but I haven't really seen or heard of any improvement in the first 6 months. That’s fair. We were looking for a more casual spot with bloodys. 21 minutes for a group of 10 people seems like a you problem. We were at the Ames Mullet’s the night of the Kansas game we had a party of 10 there at 5:39 as the game was at 6. The host told us that we should probably go somewhere else. Wowsers!!
Not to excuse this, but at what point do you go find someone, anyone, for clarification? No way I'm just waiting more than 15 minutes without saying something. And by served I mean, we haven’t seen a waitress.
Oops… we weren’t even going to the game.21 minutes for a group of 10 people seems like a you problem.
We told the manager maybe 30 minutes in. I could go on and on about what went wrong but overall I could tell the staff was poorly trained and they needed additional hands. There was no sense of a team effort. Everyone stuck to their role which doesn’t really work when the place is understaffed. Not to excuse this, but at what point do you go find someone, anyone, for clarification? It’s management. Ames Mullets is absolutely trash. I can’t wait for it to close so something else can open there. I didn’t realize it was a franchise which explains why it is run like absolute ****.Closing in on an hour at Mullets and still haven’t been served. We wouldn’t have drinks if I didn’t go to the bar.
