Dang Denali in the winter, I would guess not pleasant. There for work of some type?

It's warmer in Anchorage than it is in Iowa right now. Now the higher she goes on Denali that colder it will obviously be so she won't be going up the whole mountain this time

Has she scaled Denali previously? If so that is really cool.

The northern most battle of the Civil War was between Croton Iowa and Athens, Missouri. August 5th, 1861.
A lot of people don't realize a important part of the Civil war occurred clear over in Kansas.

Yeah, when we get a cold snap in the upper midwest my brother will often text my other brother and me with the higher temp in Anchorage. The ocean does tend to temper the temp there a lot of the time. But we can always counter with snowfall. Even the Twin Cites average just 54 inches of snow a winter while Anchorage has almost half again as much at 76 inches on average. The ocean giveth and the ocean taketh away...

Two summers ago I was in Anchorage (finished an Alaskan cruise) on a Saturday in late July. It was partly sunny and 70 and the locals told me it was the first nice weekend of the year there.

BWAHAHAHAH! Funny that Iowa and Nebraska would actually fight for Carter Lake. I do not live there, but it is much like the Fort Dodge of Western Iowa.

I assume they fight for Nebraska as the land is right by Epply Airport. If you fly through OMA and want to hotel close by the airport, you'll be in Iowa land. So lots of taxes for hotels, restaurants, gas, etc.

Wait, what about the airports of the Revolutionary War?
I don't know about Revolutionary, but the origins of this court battle would have been a decade or so after the Civil War...

I've seen confederate flags in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Noted Southern locales.
I know you mean flying out by some douchebags house, but nothing will ever beat Minnesota still holding the 28th Virginia battle flag. Whenever Virginia asks for it back Minnesota just gets to respond "No, **** off"

Nothing more patriotic than waving a flag of a country that killed thousands of your state's citizens!

I used to live in a far north suburb of Chicago dominated by good old boys. We used to say that it was a little south of Milwaukee and a little north of Mississippi!
