I have been planning a trip to Alaska and thought about taking a day trip from my brother's place in Anchorage to Denali since they are so close to each other on the map. Actually it is a 4.5-5 hour drive one way.

Yeah I have made that drive. My mom is in Alaska right now at Denali. It's crazy when you look at the map, it's like oh that aint far. Well it is because the state is so big it don't look far.

Interesting one I learned due to the NFL playoffs. DC is further south than Kansas City, meaning the Commanders are the most southern team remaining in the playoffs.

Arrowhead: 39°2′56″N 94°29′2″W
NW Stadium (formerly FedEx Field: 38°54′28″N 76°51′52″W

This doesn't seem that surprising to me, I guess.

The northern most battle of the Civil War was between Croton Iowa and Athens, Missouri. August 5th, 1861.
Yeah, it is interesting to read up on that. My brother and I drove by Athens on our way to Memphis for the bowl game and he mentioned it so I started reading up on it. It really brings it to life when you are right there.

You can get out of the desert and it looks more like Colorado. Taking my boys boarding tomorrow (although there hasn't been much actual snow, unfortunately the Nino something)
You can go about 20 miles east of the front range and it looks like Iowa. All the way till....Iowa.

So it will be a full day trip.
