Anybody else at work this week

Just curious what other fanatics have going on. I'm working this week, with holiday time on the 24th and 25th. Most everyone else is out of the office, I don't have any holiday plans, and I get to roll over vacation so I figured I might as well take advantage of some quiet days at work.

Christmas on Wednesday is the worst. We just made up the date anyways. Can’t it be one of those 4th Sundays of the months kind of things? It’s almost 2025 but we are still stuck in a dark ages holiday calendar?

My wife is also working (she’s a RN) Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and also hoping for a chill 48 hours.

Working here. Nothing special planned today so I don't want to burn my vacation. It's good to be in the office: traffic is light, people usually are in the festive mood.

I don’t get PTO but I do budget and plan to take time off around major holidays.

One of the few things in my local IBEW contract I’d like to see negotiated (paid holidays when wholesale houses are closed)

Kinda working from home..... Made three phone calls and sent out a quote, so yes I am hard at work!!
Our warehouses are closed tomorrow until Jan 2nd also so we also have to close.

Holidays are the worst around here. Its when the idle hands folks fire up ridiculous IT requests. I save my PTO days for more strategic vacation moments, but man do they test my resolve to change that.
