*** Official Texas Tech vs #11 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

The frustrating thing for me is that we COULD be good enough to put teams away. Better play calling and scheming on offense and we are a great team. I don't understand what Campbell is thinking, going conservative and having such a predictable offense. Watch some other teams and what they do and put some of those plays in our playbook. Not that hard to figure out.

Plenty of plays they already run would be fine with a better OL.

You might see other teams run more 'exciting' plays because they have better players to run them.

It's like when people would wonder why ISU doesn't run the receiver screens for 80 yards like Ohio State did. Well...

The worst thing is, how easy we move away from what’s working. Sama has proved he runs well in **** conditions. He proved it again tonight, to immediately be pulled. The loss tonight is not as boggling as how they left him in vs. kSU last year. This staffs ability to shut down the guy with the hot hand is baffling.d

I wish I had your optimism. The last two games have been an absolute ****show on how to play football. We are only showing other teams how to beat us unless we change things up. We’ll finish 9-3 imo.
Agreed. My baseline is now 9-3.

I was looking forward to seeing the first CFP.

ISU might've been below cutline anyway -- a majority of teams "held serve." Even if that did happen, it would've been close and we stew about being overlooked.

We really are just a borderline top 25 team that can compete in the Big 12. It's feeling more and more like the Big 12 is a G5 type conference.

And even though you'll never hear it, so do other conferences with exception to their stars.

The B1G outside of tOSU, PSU and Oregon, Indiana I guess, is a bunch of average Joes.

The SEC might have some very good teams but they also seem more vulnerable than normal.

Might make the playoff fun to watch I guess.

Boneheaded penalties
Timid playcalling
Horrific defensive play on the last drive (and on the 98 yard drive)

This one is on the coaches. You just hope it’s a wake up call and the team looks better in KC.
FIFY. :)

The B12 is getting one team, and lets be honest, that's what they deserve.

Yep and the ACC only deserves one too. The only reason they have a chance at two is because of the names on the jersey. Although Louisville could help with that.

I agree. I thought if both byu and isu met undefeated and Clemson and notre dame lost we could be that’s over now

I think you will see another change soon with the playoffs. My guess is they will move top just rank the teams instead of giving the conference winners the bye.

Won't disagree.

My point is if these teams like Iowa, WI, MN, etc. should get tagged as looking very similar to the Big 12 but won't because they have teams on another level leading them around.

The Big 12 is like the Big 10 without maybe 3 of their top teams. That's the point. You put the Big 12 against the Big 10 without Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State, it would be the Big 12. Same thing with the SEC.

I think we actually get rolled. Like Daniel’s nfl debut rolled
Did you think that before our loss today? Be honest. I thought we would lose to KU, but today’s loss actually makes me think we show up dialed in. I believe in this team. And if we don’t, then we were the frauds many of the folks outside ISU fandom thought we were.

We are probably never winning a game again.
Yep. We somehow went from escaping UCF and “I’m struggling to see us lose a game” to losing in reverse fashion to Tech to “We suck. We might split the last four games but I don’t see it.”
