Just got to my rain gauge. 1.9” and I’m just south of CR in Ely.1.14" at our house. looks like numerous reports of 1.5" on the west side of CR. Did not have to go very far north to get next to nothing though.
Sounds like a surefire way to make sure the storms miss us entirely.
SameLucky to have 1/10" at my house in Norwalk. Just missed the redevelopment.
Did score this awesome shot leaving the studio yesterday evening as the initial wave rolled into the Metro. Asperatus clouds under the storm. Wicked.

First call for next Saturday. I think we'll be dry for the game but there is a storm system that passes in the Friday/Saturday timeframe. I'm thinking it's more progressive but Specific timing is still a bit in limbo. High of 60. A few clouds linger. Wind NW 10-15 sustained.
Don't think we're out of the woods on the rain component just yet.
It's a long-standing thing in the Des Moines Metro. Growing up here it just seemed normal, after living in Minnesota for 10 years and now living back here - I don't get it at all.Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious, but why do so many cities schedule trick or treat on days other than Halloween?
I'll be honest, there are so many trick-or-treat activities in the weeks leading up to Beggars Night I'm not sure my kids really give a **** any more.
Your wish was grantedLooks like one big rain chance next week, & it's on our trick-or-treat night.. Think the metro could change it to actually be on Halloween just this once?
