First call for next Saturday. I think we'll be dry for the game but there is a storm system that passes in the Friday/Saturday timeframe. I'm thinking it's more progressive but Specific timing is still a bit in limbo. High of 60. A few clouds linger. Wind NW 10-15 sustained.

Don't think we're out of the woods on the rain component just yet.

It really is such an easy decision with such a clear better opportunity to do it. Surprised it's taken this long for action to be taken.

Don't get me wrong. A bit of rain, snow, cold on Halloween is fun. But with such an onslaught of rain and possible strong storms this is really a no brainer.

For TT Gameday... Dry start to the day. But rain chances increase through tailgaiting and game time. Heaviest stuff builds in during the evening. If I was betting, I think tailgating will be 'okay'. Might get a few showers after noon. But the game is where we'll need to watch for rain.

High of 60. SE Breeze 5-15.

my daughter has a conflict on Thursday night (dance) so she will miss beggars night. She will be pretty bummed when she finds out she can't go trick-or-treating. Luckily we've done a few trunk-or-treat events recently that she still got to have some fun.

Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious, but why do so many cities schedule trick or treat on days other than Halloween?

It's a long-standing thing in the Des Moines Metro. Growing up here it just seemed normal, after living in Minnesota for 10 years and now living back here - I don't get it at all.

I'll be honest, there are so many trick-or-treat activities in the weeks leading up to Beggars Night I'm not sure my kids really give a **** any more.

My 8 year old has been asking me how many days until trick or treating for the last month, she's still pumped. And I'm gonna soak it up as much as possible cause I know too soon she'll be too cool for school & her dad.
