$250k will be the low end unfortunately. QB are getting several million in some places.I understand that, but the revenue sharing does not mean that NIL goes away. I guess imo if a player is turning down more money to stay at ISU, i dont know if that changes as much. Maybe i am too optimistic here, as I am sure we will lose some but at the end of the day, these kids still want to play. Sure $250k is great, but if youre getting that to sit on the bench, how many players actually take that?
oh 100%. However, as of now, I believe the only player that truly transferred for $$$ was Hunter. IMO the other players that have transferred went down a level, because again, they want to play$250k will be the low end unfortunately. QB are getting several million in some places.

can probably add tarique milton to that list also now that i think about itAgreed. The money will keep the top recruits from coming in the first place. But that’s not new. The key is to be able to keep the guys that you recruit and develop.
Edit: I guess there was Wes Johnson. But he was paid through family and not NIL. But same idea.
Mmmmmm, it tastes goooooood, doesn’t it?I hear you but our success has put all our rosters on the radar for other teams/bagmen. Getting to this point is one thing, sustaining it is a completely different challenge.
**** the media personalities in the AP poll in basketball as well. **** the SEC media bias ********.
9 SEC basketball schools.
6 Big 12 schools.
What has our highest ranking ever been in basketball? I'm not talking preseason, just at any point.
#4 I think.
Gave an "agree," then checked -- actually #3 for one week in 1956-57.#4 I think.
IIRC, the best players can opt out to make more via NIL.Sure, and that goes to paying the players correct?
He was a grad transfer and I think UT wanted him for our playbook.can probably add tarique milton to that list also now that i think about it
We 100% have the culture(s) to retain players, but we need more NIL $. Brent needs to double his budget to $5 and even then we will be near the bottom of P4. We've been very fortune to this point but continued fortune is far from guaranteed. Complacency kills. That's not new. It's been going on for years now. Will McDonald supposedly turned down huge money to leave. Same with Rocco, Cooper, and a bunch of our other studs. In basketball I'm sure Lipsey and Milan could have made more money somewhere else. It could change, but so far the culture of those programs have led to retaining our best players at less than they could make somewhere else.
Big 12 Basketball is what SEC Football pretends to be.3 of Top 5 in Big XII
5 of Top 10
This meat grinder should play right into TJs approach.
