ESPN Cuts …Again

Apparently it is what a lot of people like these days... just some loud and obnoxious idiot. It's embarrassing.

i thought the sports center guys were cool for the most part in the 90s other than maybe Stuart Scott who seemed kind of nerdy but even him I still liked. Was it just as bad and I’m blinded by nostalgia? Feels like it can’t be.

The “two loud guys arguing opposite sides of every single topic” format I’m 100% positive is not cool now or ever. It’s tricking people into staring at a car crash, but they do not look cool. At least McAfee isn’t that format all the time.

It was really good. You had guys like Craig Kilbourne with good comedic timing and the overall production was good.

It was also the only thing going and was 30 minutes which helped it.

My theory: As reality TV took hold and we became more prone to watch people tear one another down, ESPN tapped into it and saw success with it. Then it seemed like anyone who was ever 'somebody' was on there.

At some point ESPN started trying too hard or something and lost what they did really well; it's interesting how the networks like CBS and Fox have largely kept their production of NFL, The Masters, etc. about the same steady simple style for 30+ years and are still so much more enjoyable to watch.

Those networks still have studio stuff with 4 people sitting around talking and maybe disagreeing but it's a discussion and not a shouting match.

Let me guess... you like McAfee though? McAfee is the worst. Just when I didn't think ESPN Gameday could get any worse... then they added that idiot.

I am indifferent on him, I can take him or leave him. He doesnt bother me.

She'll probably be fine a new job. However I wonder that she demanded $$$ for a contract (for a hot reporter) which ends now the cut for espn. Just stay a normal salary she'd still have a job. Rowe ain't going cut because she tried to demand pay too much.

Dumb thinking too hot for the contract. Holly should have been more salary than Sam Ponder anyways.

Ah, whoops! I hate people that talk about without even looking everything. I just heard 'blah blah hot girl, blah blah espn cut' so I assumed. My bad! game along!

:curse:

Yeah, if I want to hear someone yelling for two hours, I’ll go help the poor old lady down the street with dementia.

Doesn’t she have a few years left on her contract(same with RG3)? They are getting paid not to work because ESPN doesn’t agree with some things they’ve recently said publicly.

Outside of Clay Travis running this to the ground, is there any proof of this being the reason?

Anyone check to see if the Texas Alabama game is going to be on LHN?
