I will check this out at some point but it would be way more intriguing if they brought Moranis out of the wood work.
Nice Guys was so good. Gosling is pretty good in pretty much everything he is in.
I look at reboots as their own thing. For instance - I loved the OG Road House and when I watched the new one, I had to treat it in a silo as it's own film with it's own characters and story line. Same with when CBS relaunched McGyver a few years back. If you connect them emotionally to the OG, then you're always going to be dissapointed.

Also the issue with Josh Gad. He’s not the best actor in the history of movies, but he is also nowhere near the worst. And he’s also not held up as the best actor ever
When you've got one or two people it's not too bad. When you've got a family of six it starts to add up real quick, especially if anybody wants anything to eat or drink. Taking the family to the movies goes past $100 real quick.
Like it or not, it's a valdi complaint.
When the same movies can be viewed for "free" in the comfort of your own home within a couple months of them hitting the big screen it has to be one helluva compelling movie for me to spend money on watching it at a theater. The turnaround time from theater to streaming is too fast nowadays for me to see more than a couple movies per year, if that.
I still enjoy the theater but there are so few movies that I want to see there.
Concerts are expensive but the same songs can be listened to on our phones. Sporting events are expensive but you can watch the same game at home.
People have pay for what the experience offers vs. what they get at home. Same with movie theaters.
Agree. I haven't watched at ton of his movies, but I've never been disappointed. Even a chick flick my wife made me watch. The Notebook was watchable. I liked him in REmember the Titans. The Nice Guys is one of my favorites. Enjoyed The Big Short. Loved The Fall Guy. I should watch La La Land and Barbie.
Sure, and it's pretty clear from box office numbers that the majority of people don't think the trip to the movie theater is worth the cost any more.
And to piggy back off this, we're pretty clearly seeing this with sporting events, too. There's a reason facilities are trending downward in capacity but offering a more comfortable/unique experience for a higher price point.
The fact that Caddyshack 2 is one of the worst movies ever, doesn't make Caddyshack bad.
With concerts and sports, there can be a energy in the crowd that cannot be replicated on video. With movies, the crowd doesn't really add to the experience (With the exception of some horror/thrillers). I would much rather be able to watch a movie at home (with subtitles).
Couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve never been a movie goer in theaters (thought I was the only one). I have probably seen less than 5 movies in theaters in the past 20 years. It is not a fun conversation when dating.
The same people ******** about a $10-$15 movie ticket would have no problem paying that amount for 1 beer in Jack Trice.
Not really. It's similar to a client of mine complaining that Quickbooks costs him $45 per month but then buys $25 worth of alcohol on the way home from the job site each day.
So, in your opinion, if someone buys something unnecessary they can’t complain about another, completely unrelated, unnecessary thing costing too much?
