I would agree that strictly using wins and losses, WM was better. BUT I base my opinions, and they're obviously strictly my opinions, on the character of the coach, the character of the players, the future recruiting prospects (there are some good possibilities in the pipeline), the fact that there is nothing shady going on behind the scenes and I know when I wake up each morning I won't have to worry about a news story talking about scandals at Iowa State in the MBB program.
Absolutely it all comes down to wins and losses, but a lot happens between day one and the final grading time and so far GMac is getting a much better grade from me personally on all the behind the scenes things. With handling all of those things better, I believe that he can get to a point of having consistently better W/L records than any coach before. My only concern is if his time will run out before he's achieved what I and many know he can do with how he's building things.
