***Official 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Thread***

Cincinnati team really need some discipline. They blew 9 points lead with 2 minutes to go because of some bone head plays. Then they had premature celebration after hitting go ahead 3 pointer with 3.1 seconds to go. SF easily could have scored if they made a good pass.

Cincy and UCF both passed eye test more than their results suggested this year. Not sure if coaching or just unskilled players. Will be interesting to see how both do in year two. Somebody has to be in the cellar, I think OKSt will be back at some point.

Cincinnati team have plenty of skilled players. They just don’t play smart. Last 2 minutes of the second half was ugly. Blew 9 points in 2 minutes.

College bball replay is the ******* worst

Replay in a lot of American sports can be a lot better, pros too. I watch a decent amount of European soccer and when they say "this is going to VAR" I actually feel warm and fuzzy that it's not going to destroy the game or be a travesty...and it's relatively fast.

There have been some downright shocking VAR decisions too to be fair, like the time they didn't zoom out enough to see a defender.

One tidbit that I included:
Tad Boyle wins his 3rd tournament game as the coach of Colorado. The 3rd win ties Bebe Lee and Sox Walseth for the most tournament wins in Colorado history.

First two games tomorrow will be good ones I think. I want Big 12 to do well but it's not gonna break my heart if Duquense beats BYU and gets them out of our path.

I know Michigan State is down but damn...it's still Izzo. If Spartans get by Bulldogs (which I am not sure they do) I actually think they beat UNC.

I would say UCF was pretty well coached, they were just playing some guys that had zero basketball skill. UCF would be an easy team to root for. They are scrappy as hell and play their ass off. There one guard (#2 or #12) is a really nice player. But man they really lack shooting and ball handling. And their 7’ guy has to have worst hands I’ve ever seen.

Cincy I would say they just don’t seem very well coached. They seem to force bad shots and lose guys on defense.

Second half of BSU/Colorado has been pretty good. Rest of them have been pretty ugly games, first half of this one was brutal.

The first game tonight was downright just plain fun to watch. Both teams were making shot after shot to get it to overtime. 16 seeds or not they probably both would have beaten Virginia last night.

I want Izzo to lose in embarrassing fashion. They shouldn't be in.

I still feel that PIGs should not count as NCAA tournament games. You are playing your way INTO the tournament. You are not IN the tournament when in the PIG. When MLB had the wild card game, did that count as being in post-season, or was it considered as playing your way into the post season?
