Isn't there a speed ferry you can take from the port in Fort Myers? I thought somebody told me that was the way to do it....

No way I could get my wife in the car with me if I said we were going to drive down there.

Just looked it up, and that looks fun, and it sounds like it takes about the same time as driving too!

I've never been on it, but a good friend/coworker who had a place there says the Key West ferry is one of the funnest things to do in 'town.'

My main reason is that I didn't like the puddle jumper that we flew into Key West on. I think it was an 8 seater, and I was sitting behind the (older) pilot judging his health, watching the gauges, judging the mental stability of the passenger that sat next to him and how I would have to choke him out if he went for the stick. In short, I'm better flying if you just put a wall between me and what's going on lol

You did your time and got the story, once is enough for that experience lol.

It's January 24th in the Twin Cities and I haven't really shoveled yet this season. Scooped 1/2" or so off the front steps a couple of times and also did a five minute push snow off the driveway a couple times but no actually shoveling. No snow on the ground and it's foggy and misty out. Weird weird weird.

One of my kids drove that but I would have no desire to do that at all!

Only been to Key West one time, they had tropical storm "BC" (my actual first name in Spanish) come through then. We drove it from Jupiter FL down and back. It is not an exciting drive.

What do the long range trends look like? Is this warmer weather going to stay for the next several weeks or is there a cold snap looming?

I just want to make it to March. Then it can still snow but usually doesn’t stick around for too long.

Happy that the ground wasn’t frozen. The melting snow was able to get into the ground without just running off the top. I know snow isn’t usually much for moisture but any little bit helps.

This really reminds me of the 90s when it would be little snow and I could walk to work in a light jacket during the coldest times even.
