A very not normal snow cover in WI. This is the most recent and I'd guess a lot of the blue is gone after today.

If ice melt (ice fishing) happens this week like it possibly could, I'm not sure if even one cold week can bring it back as the sun gets higher for longer.

So I assumed this poster on Twitter was a bit of a loon, but is there actually something to this?

Cali is going to get a lot of rain. It happens from time to time contrary to what has been sold the last few years.

With that the looney part is that she thinks anyone has been dreading a lot of rain for a long time. In fact it wasn't that long ago what everyone was dreading was quite the opposite.

Maybe she isn't a loon. Maybe she is just trying to help folks "re-image".

Had to replace the sump pump a few days ago. Poor thing was from 2006 and running every 1:45. New one still runs every 4-5 min. Ready for the rest of the snow to melt.

Two weeks of bitter cold temps followed by one week of massive snow. When it comes to winter, I'm fine with getting it over with as quickly as possible.

My fear is we could be heading into a very long summer with little precip and brutal heat. Hoping for a long spring and a long fall.

Crazy how much snow we had in January and how little snow Minneapolis has had.

Also crazy that there is still snow sitting around after so many days of warm weather.

Wife and I have tried to book two different trips up to MN to ski. We've cancelled both times because of 50's and rain :(

They got absolutely hammered last winter. I remember going up there in late March and still seeing giant piles of snow in the parking lots. I guess they had the opposite happen this year.
Same. I was up a few times and the snow depth was up to the windows of the hotel we stayed at on our last trip. I was glad because the lake I fish on my annual trip was low that summer. Then last summer it was plenty full. Now we'll see how things shake out in June!
