Really was a balanced team effort. Gilbert will get knocked but he locked down Cryer. That dude usually salivates when he sees Hilton on the schedule.

Absolutely, Gilbert gets WAY too much grief this year. Yes he can ball hog but he’s out there for a reason.

Yes we need to keep improving but I really think people aren’t giving Houston enough credit. We looked like that tonight because they are a nightmare defensively especially.

On the flip side they wanted no part of our defense either.

Houston is outstanding. I don't think anybody is taking anything from them. Still can't shoot 20 percent from 3 and expect to beat them.

Good win. Thought we were going to blow it but the guys never gave up.

Completely perplexed by Otz's choice to take Ward, the most impactful player on the floor for us, out of the game the last few minutes. Just a terrible decision, especially having both Jones and King on the floor at the same time.

Easy. Ward's shooting 29% of his free-throws for the season. Liability at the end of a close game.

Agreed. OKST swept us last year and came into Hilton 2 years ago and held us to 36 freaking points. **** them Cowboys!

King is the unsung hero. 9 points 3 steals 9 rebounds. No one else had half his rebounds - and the Cougs were hitting the glass hard.

The timing of those stats were huge they were almost all during a 10 minute stretch after UH tied it up at 41 and looked to be taking control.

And up until that point he had been struggling against Houston's bigs.
