Well successfully replaced the ceiling fan for the folks. Glad it worked when finished.

Did you do this alone? Any ceiling fixture is a PITA to do since you have to hold it and wire it. Would be good to be an octopus and have extra "arms".
They have the BIg Ass fans brand at my LifeTime club main free weights and weigh equipment room. Makes me smile each time I look up and see the brand name in big print on it.
I like to bring up the brand name in construction meetings whenever I can because...well...I'm 12 at heart.
I was pleasantly surprised the base plate had a hole in it to put the motor bracket through to let it hang at about a 45 to do the wiring then push up and screw in the other side. Worked surprisingly well.
Last time I did work on a ceiling fan I forgot to turn off the power. That was tingly.
Well, managed to get the ignition switch in but not sure if it works or not. Faulty switch completely drained battery and dead battery on old Boxster locks the ignition so key goes in but will not turn. Charging the battery in hopes that once it's charged things will work. Not optimistic.
And, man, what a royal PITA to get that part in. Those little bitty set screws, damn those little guys.

Thank you for the update! That's so good to hear. I keep up with his exploits just on social media, so this was wonderful to hear in-person.

Does anybody use the Walmart delivery service? Wondering what normal tips are, we have tried the one month trial for a buck and I’m trying to make sure I don’t get all the broken stuff.
