The attached image is a FB post from a friend of a friend from Sunday - these types of things float around on social media pretty frequently and it's impossible to know if they're true. I don't directly know the person who posted, but I have talked to a couple people that do know him and they have confirmed the story to be accurate. Keep in mind, this is the same general vicinity a few days after the trucker went missing.

There is also a bank that went under in Sac City a few weeks ago for making bad loans in the trucking industry. I've heard that one of the bankers there committed suicide recently. A LOT of weird things happening in a small area.
Facebook post from a friend of a friend. Lol! Does this same friend of a friend also have a post talking about kitty litter in schools? Sorry, I don't believe any of this kind of stuff from Facebook anymore, especially when there is a politically charged element to it like this story.

Talking to family over the weekend and they brought up these 2 missing men. I hadn’t heard anything about it.

First one is Mark Riesberg. He went missing in October. I can’t find this in the news, but according to my family his car was found on a gravel road with the cell phone and wallet in the car. I’m not finding much info on this one.

Second is David Schultz and this one is really suspicious.
He drives truck and hauls hogs. On Tuesday, Nov 21st he picked up a load of feeder pigs in Eagle Grove and was supposed to deliver them in Sac City.
The next morning they found his semi with the pigs still in the trailer, going north of Sac City.
The truck was in the road, not pulled off to the side and his wallet and phone were in the truck too.

Really weird, scary stuff.
Probably not related, but pretty coincidental to have similar missing persons cases close together in rural Iowa like this.
Sadly their bodies will likely be found by a farmer come spring.

Or there’s some crazy missing 411 happening

The statement by the sheriff's office stated there is no evidence that this incident was related to the missing trucker, and that the driver was arrested for reckless driving (which is accurate). There was nothing in regard to the previously posted story being inaccurate or misinformation.
The FB post claims that the Mexican guy with meth was the same vehicle that was messing with the kid.

The Sherriff's statement does not support that conclusion in any way, shape, or form. It's wischcasting by people who want the perpetrator to fit that description.

So, I love walking through state parks, national parks. I'm a reasonably big dude (6'4, 250) and while I'm not aggressive, I also don't shy away. And I've got a 70 pound dog so I typically have a , probably false sense of security.

But I will say the creepiest experience was walking around Evansdale in a pouring rain - in the pre daylight - and I could hear something following. Heavy steps. Shiloh heard it. And he'd turn, stop and stare off into the thicket and snort then bark. Every time I sped up, the steps sped up. Every time I slowed, they slowed. If I turned, they turned with me. Something, or someone was following us.

There have been other experiences as well. But that was one day I was very happy to make it to the clearing
I had this same experience racoon hunting back in the day. We would cross a stream then a minute later there are the steps splashing through the stream or tall grass whatever we went through. Wished we had more than a .22. We never saw a thing but our flashlights were not like what we have today.

Is there just one documentary on this? We watched it and it's fascinating. I am totally into watching this stuff. Not sure how much is true or not, but it's really weird for sure.
Oh no, it s a whole serious. Former police detective leading it. Its crazy and while.

I will say there was a super Hinterheifeck murders are wild - in a terrible way - the weirdness that happened there.

there is some super strangeness in the world once you start digging.

------------------------

but back to the thread, I do hope we get some positive news soon about one, or maybe both of these gentlemen

Heads in the sky
Debunked the fact that it was directly related to the missing trucker with current evidence. Did not debunk the story posted.

It certainly does when it comes to how the dad talks about the events that occurred. Yes he called in for reckless driving but with how things unfolded and the dad’s narrative don’t align.

Not going to lie I am always a little leary when I am driving the racecar hauler late at night and need to pull over on an exit/entrance ramp to pee or walk around a bit to wake myself up.
This is America, strap up. Kind of serious.... Have an ex who traveled all over the Midwest for work, often driving at night. Making sure she didn't leave her gun at home was part of the "phone, wallet, keys" check for her.

But it's almost certainly not. Right there with kitty litters and kidney harvests.

This is 100% something a crazy aunt/uncle would post on facebook. It's fuzzy, poorly cropped, all one block of rambling nonsense, and a sprinkle of heavy racism. I didn't need to skim that to know it's fake as hell.

I don't know if anyone actually tracks this kind of statistically, but random acts of violence are EXTREMELY rare. In an extremely high percentage of murders, kidnappings, and assaults of all forms, the victim knew the perpetrator.

It is highly unlikely the missing trucker was just randomly targeted by a roving gang of evil doers looking to murder and kidnap someone for the hell of it.

It's far more likely that he was involved in some level of organized crime and crossed someone.

The kid who got messed with on the highway was probably caught up in some kind of road rage thing, vs someone who was trying to abduct or murder him.

Testifying
The trucker case reminds me a little of this case that happened in my backyard recently.

My guess (knowing absolutely nothing about the case) is that he got involved in running drugs, got desperate, siphoned a little cash, and the guys up the chain found out about it. They knew what he did for a living, followed him, created this situation (like a roadblock that forced him to stop the truck), and abducted/murdered him.
Yeah that's why I asked the question about headset and dashcam.
Maybe dash cam was yanked if there was one.

FWIW, it's fuzzy and poorly cropped because I screenshotted the post with the snipping tool.

I figured it would be met with heavy skepticism - most things are online (rightfully so).

Yeah I'm not carrying a gun
Same. I do have a sharp friend I typically carry with me so I'm completely helpless, although I don't always. Granted it does require something or someone to be somewhat close to me, but again, that's where I fall back of feeling self assured of myself, rightly or wrongly.

But I will never discredit anyone who does. I always tell people, be safe. Its not for me, but I've got a very good friend whose a single mom of 2 young girls living alone , well, as far as an adult, and has a small dog and she does and I've never tried discouraging her from doing that as her biggest fear is caring for her girls. I've gone over a few times and hung out when she felt things were creepy or there was something going on that was odd. Not for a while though and that's okay.
