Imagine doing this with a hog that may be imobilized but is still trying to kick and get free.

Agree, but I wasn’t telling him that.
I'm fairly decent at backing a trailer, but I do it almost daily, with short trailers too which are harder. Hate backing on a busy road into a driveway though.Got home. Doctor neighbor is moving. Struggling to back up a trailer, doing the classic rookie mistakes. Wondered if I should go help but didn’t want to make him feel bad. He gave up and whipped it around front, somehow he put the trailer tires on his lawn as he drove in front. He took off so I guess I don’t need to help.
Lew would have been shirtlessTook till after 3:00 but finally subdue my inner sloth and went for a 20 mile ride. Bastard was pretty strong considering how sunny and nice it was. He's usually stronger on gloomy days. DND.
Spied a a guy that looked just like KC's Lew, same hair and beard. Was riding a road bike with the narrowest tires I've seen in some time. And wearing a Grateful Dead bike jersey.
And wearing a grass hat.Lew would have been shirtless
It’s always a joy when the dogs see a bird they want to bark at (or God forbid someone walks by) or the kids decide to walk in. The adventures of remote work.I’m am past the point of irritated, I’m just POd now. If you set a zoom meeting with me and you have dogs barking in the background, or you gotta stop so you can take care of them, or young kids screaming or you gotta take care of them; I think I’m just going to hang up. I can’t remember the last zoom call where one of those hasn’t happened and it added a decent chunk of time to it or caused issues being able to hear things. I have things squared away before the meeting, why can’t you?
I go downstairs to a secluded room, shut the door and put a note up that says in zoom meeting if I’m not the only one home. The dog is let out and water/fed before the meeting. If it’s a weekend thing, I give a little more grace. If it’s a week day, I’ve now had my fill. This may sound mean, but it’s not my issue if they are not wanting to do what I have always done, and why should I be inconvenienced and waste my time for it?It’s always a joy when the dogs see a bird they want to bark at (or God forbid someone walks by) or the kids decide to walk in. Probably depends more on who set the meeting and who’s higher ranked in the company.I go downstairs to a secluded room, shut the door and put a note up that says in zoom meeting if I’m not the only one home. And how old the kids are/who can stay home with them.Probably depends more on who set the meeting and who’s higher ranked in the company.
With so many people working from home you get this all the time, TV or radio in the background, dogs barking, babies crying. People in India out on the street so you hear all the street noise.I’m am past the point of irritated, I’m just POd now. Personally I don’t see this as relevant. We hired sitters or took our kids to childcare, are those services completely gone now?And how old the kids are/who can stay home with them.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a blank screen when dealing with someone and you are trying to show them something and you have no idea if they are following along or you can hear them whispering in the background after their head turns, video goes blank and then they mute. Normally I will pause at that point if that person is important and wait for them to get back on if I’m leading a section.Probably depends more on who set the meeting and who’s higher ranked in the company.
They make devices that are bulbs that you fill with water and they soak out as the soil goes dry. They obviously are for potted plants. Not sure how well they work but it’s worth a shot if all else fails.Forecast for chances of rain the last couple of days were a fizzle. Now just crazy windy.
Wondering what to do with plants I just bought. Plant them and then have them all die while I take some days to roadie to see sister and nieces. Maybe I can talk neighbors into watering them if I leave a couple of buckets out. Really dry and no rain in forecast for the week, again.
In some places probably, in others it might just be unfeasible due to cost, the daycare is full, live far from family (who might be able to care for the child), don't trust the family to take care of the child, etc.Personally I don’t see this as relevant. We hired sitters or took our kids to childcare, are those services completely gone now?
