*** CFB Championship Week Games Thread***

USC can be elite next year on O with Caleb back and some great skill players, as well as great recruits, but they're going to need to hit the Portal incredibly hard on D for immediate studs. Utah exposed what has always been visible all year with USC.

This was starting to remind me of Ferentz running Beathard out there in their bowl game.

It's not like Riley didn't get elite defensive recruits at OU. His teams are just consistently terrible on that side of the ball.

Finally they pull Caleb. I know you want to stay competing even when it's lost, but he's the star of the program and critical to next year... and he's been limping for half the game.

But that's the thing. It isn't like they were getting ran by. They were in position throughout the night. They just didn't know what to do when it came time to make a play. That's on the coaches. I don't know if they went too far in avoiding tackling in practice to avoid injuries or what.

Great point. The almost always had the defender right in front of them, they just couldn't do anything more than give him a hug and tug.

Pandemonium weekend is off to a great start. Have a hunch KSU will be tomorrow's Utah.
For all the talk we see on these boards about officials favoring teams over ISU for whatever reason suits the conference, if there is any truth to it TCU should have an added advantage. The league has nothing to gain and everything to lose in this one. Nobody outside of Manhattan should be pulling for purple Kansas here, especially at the league office.

K-St wins tomorrow and Bama is in. The committee gets their wish two B10 and two SEC teams.
Disagree. I think the USC loss locks TCU in no matter what happens tomorrow.

Had USC won and TCU loses tomorrow, I could see the committee bumping a 1-loss TCU for 1-loss OSU.

I never say never, but the committee will not bump TCU, who’s only loss came in a 13th game, for a 2-loss Alabama team that avoided the SEC championship and will have lost to at least one team that is going to be lower-ranked than KSU will end up.

Didn’t follow football in 2014 did you?
