Disagree. I think the USC loss locks TCU in no matter what happens tomorrow.

Had USC won and TCU loses tomorrow, I could see the committee bumping a 1-loss TCU for 1-loss OSU.

I never say never, but the committee will not bump TCU, who’s only loss came in a 13th game, for a 2-loss Alabama team that avoided the SEC championship and will have lost to at least one team that is going to be lower-ranked than KSU will end up.
I would agree, with the stipulation that if TCU gets curbed stomped tomorrow like USC, they don’t deserve to be in it.

I agree. The difference this year over others is that Alabama actually lost the narrative war. They didn't pass the eye test and the media that always loves them has been pretty open about their weaknesses. I don't think Bama gets in.

Just got back from the CUSA championship game. How can teams at the lowest level of FBS have kickers (freshman/sophomore) drilling 43 yard FGs and have all kickoffs that weren’t deliberately squibbed be touchbacks, but somehow we shank 27 yarders?

Also, I’ve said it before, but we should look at hiring UTSA’s special teams coordinator. He’s got his kicker filling the right gaps and making tackles on kickoffs if necessary to avoid big returns. They’ve also successfully recovered 3 or so onside kicks this year.

I know people don’t like the committee, but they still would have to justify Bama jumping TCU. There simply is no argument they’d be able to stand on.

If TCU loses…
1.) TCU would still have one less loss than Bama
2.) Would have played in its conference championship (a 13th game)
3.) Would have a better best win than Bama (vs top-10 K-State on 10/22)
4.) Would have a better worst loss than Bama (vs top-10 K-State in Big 12 Championship)
5.) Would match Bama’s best win (@texas)
6.) Would have the same number of wins over top 25 teams in CFP poll
7.) Will have played (and beaten) more bowl eligible teams than Bama (8 vs 7)
8.) Will have a better SOS than Alabama according to Power Rankings Guru (I can’t find official SOS numbers, so someone correct me if I’m wrong).

Tennessee would actually have a better argument than Bama, but I believe they’re getting dinged because their QB is hurt. If TCU keeps this within 4 TDs they’re in, regardless of how biased the committee may be.

I actually like TCU's matchup with Michigan. Let tOSU get throttled by Georgia.
hmmm, that is a hard call. Michigan struggled at home with a pretty good Illinois team, but killed Ohio State in Columbus. If Michigan steams rolls today they might be peaking. If I were betting right now, I would take Michigan.

pretty good Illinois? Is Illinois better than Kansas?

Ohio State folded like a cheap card table.
