I’m getting flashbacks of Steve Prohm watching this team…and not in a good wayGolesh was here on staff, maybe we should have given him a chance? Sometimes high risk is high reward.
Continuing with this known crap is absolutely inexcusable.
Get ready for a huge dropoff in tickets, interest, and recruits.
Meanwhile K-State up 35-0 at half on Okie St with their backup qb. You can’t tell me K-State has better talent than us other than at rb
I would argue with deuce Vaughn we'd be a 1 loss teamMeanwhile K-State up 35-0 at half on Okie St with their backup qb. You can’t tell me K-State has better talent than us other than at rb
His *** would be fired before dinner tonite if I were running this show. He is an absolute abomination. It is nothing short of grand theft that he is paid $925,000 a year to “coach”. My family member Kesha can coach better than him. Btw, Kesha is purring at my feet right now…she’s a felineYou really think manning is gonna take a pay cut to be OL coach LOL.

You say Manning is over his head running the entire offense but then want to promote Scheelhasse to OC. Scheelhaase has never been anything more than a position coach, but you don't think he'd be in over his head running the entire offense?
Agree, no excuse for us to be this bad on offense with 2 weeks. He had two weeks to prepare that delicacy for Cyclone Nation - he needs to be gone.
Good point. No idea if Scheelhaase the guy, and there are a lot of sunshine-pumpers in the ISU media, so the hype around his abilities could be overblown. We always see all this hype for Scheelhasse, but its coming from the same places that say "this year is the year our OL won't suck", so maybe that should be tempered a bit
That award isn't really proof of anything. Having a good NFL back on your team can make anyone look good, especially in the MAC.Tom Manning, where he won an offensive line coach of the year award in 2015 before coming to ISU. Guy can clearly coach the offensive line, but is in over his head running the entire offense. Hoping Campbell takes an honest evaluation this offseason, moves Manning to O-line, and either promotes Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator or finds an outside candidate, like he did when he poached Dave Andrews from Pitt.
What proof is there that he actually excels at coaching an O-line?Good point. No idea if Scheelhaase the guy, and there are a lot of sunshine-pumpers in the ISU media, so the hype around his abilities could be overblown.
But what ISU is doing now on offense clearly isn't working, and the o-line has been a problem every year since Campbell got here. Would love it if Manning had the humility to take a step back and focus on what he excels at, which is o-line coaching, and let someone else take over play-calling.

Then this team is doomed and an adjustment needs to be made. Nobody is going to want to come play receiver in a KF style offense. We are never going to be able to compete with high powered offenses or come from behind if we are a one-dimensional team.Golesh also went to UCF to learn under Huepel.
Hate to break it to you but as long as Campbell is the coach we aren't going to run a high powered offense like Huepel did at UCF and is at Tenn.
I love Campbell but he is to much like Ferentz when it comes to offense.
And with this low level of offensive production, defense has to be nearly flawless or be stout AND extremely good at getting turnovers (and sometimes scoring directly) ... the latter of which is not the unit's strong suit, over several years.I feel sorry for our defense. They are playing winning football on their side but then offense and special teams screw them every week.
I don’t think NW is close to OU in terms of defensive talent. OU would curb stomp NW with Gabriel back. Iowa got a gimme today and ISU didn’t.They will probably put a proper beat down on a horrible Northwestern defense.... while we couldn't do anything against an equally horrible OU defense.
High-powered offense in the Big-12 is scoring mid-30s or more. If ISU could just score upper 20s, they would have 3-4 conference wins.Golesh also went to UCF to learn under Huepel.

Which I would argue can also be part of the problem. I'd prefer more risks going for turnovers that result in shorter fields, like Iowa does. And with this low level of offensive production, defense has to be nearly flawless or be stout AND extremely good at getting turnovers (and sometimes scoring directly) ... the latter of which is not the unit's strong suit, over several years.
Every single person who's posted here today have as many Big 12 wins as Campbell does this year
