Evans is open to being Cap again but it would have to be epic.
Hard thing to guarantee in advance.

Ms Marvel episode 2 I'd say is solid and on par with episode 1. This one goes really heavy into the Islamic culture and while it was pretty heavy, it did have me mostly intrigued by it as someone who really doesn't know much.

I find it interesting that we are 2 episodes in and outside of Damage Control obviously being a hurdle for her coming of age story, we really don't know who the true villain of this series is yet. Maybe it will end up being Damage Control, but I somehow doubt that. Also, as many speculated, I like that the Bangle isn't the source of her powers, but is clearly unlocking something within her, so it looks like being and Inhuman is at least on the table still.

Continue to be pleasantly surprised by Ms. Marvel. The look at American Islamic culture has been interesting, so was the history lesson on the Partition. That was something I don't think I ever learned about in any history class.

Not sure what I think if Damage Control is the real villain. Seems almost like they are setting them up as a stand in for the Department of Mutant Affairs. Really hope there is something deeper than the government is the bad guy. The final scene seems to indicate there is something more though. Oh, and loved the Kingo reference.

Yeah, I don't want Damage Control to be the villain. I'm still convinced the one guy agent is a Skrull, so there is always the chance both the Kree and Skrulls get involved in this as a precursor to the upcoming Secret Invasion show

The Kingo thing has me wondering if there is a descendent angle going on for powers

Not sure if the Eternals could have kids, but there is potential for Kamala's bracelet and perhaps even Shang-Chi's ten rings to be Eternal tech.

I really think we are getting a glimpse into the future of the MCU. The connections in the connected world will become less while it branches out into series designed with a specific niche market in mind... at least with the direct to Disney+ stuff. Ms. Marvel speaks strongly to the Islamic Culture and teenage girls. I'm sure many will choose to not watch it because understandably they don't fit that description. I'm struggling a bit with the PG rating and the teenage target market, but I'm enjoying a glimpse into Islamic Culture. The Big Sick with Kumail Nanjiani is a good RomCom that gives a similar glimpse.

Anyone else get flashbacks to Toby McGuire learning about his spiderman powers watching episode 2?

To me, I got more Shazam flashbacks than Spider-Man ones. As for the PG rating, I haven't even thought once about it. At this point, I'm not sure why this series would be or should be rated more than PG. It just fits the story they are trying to tell.

See, I thought I would struggle with that too as most shows' teenager stuff gets a bit cringy to downright uncomfortable (looking at you Cobra Kai), but so far it has all been pretty earnest. I feel they took a good cue from the tone of the Tom Holland Spider-man teenager stuff.

They are threading it into the larger MCU tapestry, just more subtly. At some point, a connection to Captain Marvel (I'm guessing through Mariah Rambeau) will be made as Kamala is scheduled to appear in the Marvels film.

First off, I'm in the bag for any coming of age story. I love them so I have an affinity for this right away.

But I would say, more than any other show on D+ I've seen maybe other than Mando, this show knows EXACTLY what it is and EXACTLY what it is trying to do. It might not be for everybody but the characters are good, the writing is tight, and everything about it seems to be of a time and place which I completely respect and admire.

WandaVision is in that category for me as well

I don't even know what to think on announcements for adding new players to the mix like this. Sure, it could be really good and I could really like it. At the same time, with so many heavy hitters still sitting on the sideline like Nova, Ghostrider, ALL the X-Men (Wolverine, Gambit, Cyclops, Storm), the individual Fantastic 4 characters, certain Inhumans characters, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones.... etc. (I'm sure I'm missing some big ones here), I can't help but wish it were rather one of them we were finally getting announcements for. What do I know though? I'm the guy whose least anticipated Disney+ series were both Ms Marvel and WandaVision, which also happen to be my favorites so far.

Hey, it also could be worse like over at WB, where they seem to be more concerned with giving us movies like Wonder Twins, the Trench, 10 different Gotham series without Batman, and 20 different unwanted Harley Quinn movies, all while leaving the heavy hitters like Superman, Hal Jordan, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter... etc. to rot on the sidelines. I know, I know... we've got new management there and yes, I'm optimistic this is likely changing to some extent, but I'm still a bit cynical. At least with Marvel, they have still earned the benefit of the doubt.

Meh, if he comes back at all, it could be Hydra Cap which would jack with peoples perspectives. Human Torch….I dunno.

“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going. I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”

Fun Ms Marvel Easter Egg:

If you didn't already think the idiot turd burger who fell while taking selfies hanging out the window in episode 2 probably deserved the hurt ankle in the end, then just take a look at the shoes he was wearing. Those are Nakia's shoes, which were stolen earlier in the Mosque.

See, here’s the thing. I’m not sure that it does have a teen target audience. Just look at what the first three episodes of WandaVision appeared to be.

That was all about Wanda’s personal issues. This is all about Kamala’s personal issues. And sooner or later, that veneer may well be stripped away.

Interesting episode of Ms. Marvel. So there is a bad guy, sorta, but really the bad guy just wants help going home and are willing to force the hero to help. But then the other sorta bad guy shows up and captures the first sorta bad guys, so now the hero has to help the first sorta bad guys escape the second sorta bad guys all while not completely destroying everything thing around her both socially and potentially literally.
