Now that I think about it I don't believe the Blu-Ray had a deleted scenes segment, did it?
But what if Zemo dances? Wouldn’t that up your interest level?![]()
Continue to be pleasantly surprised by Ms. Marvel. The look at American Islamic culture has been interesting, so was the history lesson on the Partition. That was something I don't think I ever learned about in any history class.
Not sure what I think if Damage Control is the real villain. Seems almost like they are setting them up as a stand in for the Department of Mutant Affairs. Really hope there is something deeper than the government is the bad guy. The final scene seems to indicate there is something more though. Oh, and loved the Kingo reference.

I really think we are getting a glimpse into the future of the MCU. The connections in the connected world will become less while it branches out into series designed with a specific niche market in mind... at least with the direct to Disney+ stuff. Ms. Marvel speaks strongly to the Islamic Culture and teenage girls. I'm sure many will choose to not watch it because understandably they don't fit that description. I'm struggling a bit with the PG rating and the teenage target market, but I'm enjoying a glimpse into Islamic Culture. The Big Sick with Kumail Nanjiani is a good RomCom that gives a similar glimpse.Ms Marvel episode 2 I'd say is solid and on par with episode 1. This one goes really heavy into the Islamic culture and while it was pretty heavy, it did have me mostly intrigued by it as someone who really doesn't know much.
I find it interesting that we are 2 episodes in and outside of Damage Control obviously being a hurdle for her coming of age story, we really don't know who the true villain of this series is yet. Maybe it will end up being Damage Control, but I somehow doubt that. Also, as many speculated, I like that the Bangle isn't the source of her powers, but is clearly unlocking something within her, so it looks like being and Inhuman is at least on the table still.

Anyone else get flashbacks to Toby McGuire learning about his spiderman powers watching episode 2?
See, I thought I would struggle with that too as most shows' teenager stuff gets a bit cringy to downright uncomfortable (looking at you Cobra Kai), but so far it has all been pretty earnest. I feel they took a good cue from the tone of the Tom Holland Spider-man teenager stuff.I really think we are getting a glimpse into the future of the MCU. To me, I got more Shazam flashbacks than Spider-Man ones. As for the PG rating, I haven't even thought once about it. At this point, I'm not sure why this series would be or should be rated more than PG. It just fits the story they are trying to tell.
First off, I'm in the bag for any coming of age story. I love them so I have an affinity for this right away.
But I would say, more than any other show on D+ I've seen maybe other than Mando, this show knows EXACTLY what it is and EXACTLY what it is trying to do. It might not be for everybody but the characters are good, the writing is tight, and everything about it seems to be of a time and place which I completely respect and admire.
See, here’s the thing. I’m not sure that it does have a teen target audience. Just look at what the first three episodes of WandaVision appeared to be.I really think we are getting a glimpse into the future of the MCU.
