Infamous Iowans

So, they must have been in Ames from 1962-66. Well before my time. Jeffrey was born in 1960 so he was 2-6 years old while in Ames. Probably tough to spot a cannibalistic serial killer at kindergarten recess.

I've seen a few little ***** out there that I'm pretty sure are going to grow up to be sociopaths.

Holy cow! That's exactly the time I was there. Fortunately I ended my baby-sitting career path when I came to Ames.

Rick Wayne Forsyth killed his 3
kids, wife and 2 other kids in Norwalk back in 1993. Rick was my school bus driver and was a wierdo.

Randy Weaver was mentioned in this thread and I didn't think it necessarily warranted a new thread but he passed away at 74.

I always thought Ames need a sign that said "boyhood home of jeffery dahmer. I lived next door to him when i was an infant while my dad was in graduate school. my mom remembered him and said she thought he was a bit off.

I wonder how John Wayne Gacy lived only 6 blocks from my house growing up and I fit his target demographic. Weird things happen right under our noses.
my dad lived a few houses away from gacy as well in waterloo and was also the target demographic. my dad's thought was maybe he was just too close to home.

some of the land associated with the kfc's that gacy ran in waterloo is still undeveloped. my thought is nobody really wants to dig on that land because they might find something.

His sister, that lived in Indianola, passed away last month. I had wondered if he came for her services

I grew up in Indianola and am friends with his nephew. One of the absolute best persons I know and his family is stellar.
