Heard it from him at one of the open gyms at Ames High - he was there to watch Kellogg of the girls' team, but has known HB for some time. He and the Twister Sisters are part of our recruiting edge.
If HB does go somewhere else, he has to say "no thanks" to a whole lot of friends here. No way, no how.

If his only reason to stay in Ames is because of friends and not basketball, then he has alot of problems. He's going to go where his best fit is.

Totally different story. Marsden was a 3 star recruit. There was hype but his hype was more like "please be the next Homan", not "Please be the next Mayor!" like it is for Harrison.

Comparing Marsden to Harrison is like comparing Agnew to Brackins, IMHO.

I would say. Agnew and Marsden both ended up being pretty huge busts despite both being 3 star recruits. Brackins was a 5 star (like Harrison). I think he can back up the hype just as well as Brackins has, if not better.

I just really hope people don't throw McD under the bus if/when he doesn't sign Harrison. I have a hard time believing Harrison would end up anywhere but Kansas/Duke/NC/Florida no matter who the coach was/is.
