NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

This is a dumb take. Their offense was the best in the league this year, even with CD and Amari sitting out quite a few games. Their issues stem from an inconsistent D and some small gaps on the O line.

They lost a one possession game to a good playoff team. It sucks but it happens, pretty far from a trainwreck.
Their offense wasn't the BEST in the league this year, but Dak is a good quarterback. There are honestly not too many I'd take over him: Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, Herbert, Brady, Lamar and probably Murray and Burrow and Russ.

Zeke is another story:

So, you'd only take like ten QBs over him?

Listen it was a list of 5, then 8, then I remembered Lamar.

I guess the better point is: he's one of the QBs I would feel confident could win me a championship. Which strongly tails off after him.

His numbers would put him ahead of most of those QB’s. IMO he’s around #5 if you’re talking about winning a SB next year.

Pollard came on in a big way this year. Enough that it’s pretty hard to justify Zeke’s salary.

It is hard to justify Zeke based on his play, but he isn't going anywhere. If I recall correctly, he'd cost something like 17 million against the cap if they cut him this offseason, which is gigantic at the running back position. And nobody's going to trade for that contract. I think they have an out after this next season, though. Unless he really turns it around, he'll be done then.

Yep, they can get rid of him after next year. He needs a big season, because a 28 year old RB with that many miles is going to be a tough sale.

The Cardinals went 1-5 in the last 6 and the 1 win was (checks notes) at Dallas.
