NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

Who's targeting you?
The ref has to get up there. He was probably as surprised as anyone to see that play call. It was a very risky call and the time it takes for the ref to spot the ball should have been taken into account before they made the play call. It's not instantaneous.
The other well unknown rule is that you need 3 seconds to get a spike off with a running clock. If it is considered to be less than 3 seconds, it will be considered out of time. The ref was fighting through the line with 4 on the clock.

And you saw part of the scramble was the official trying to move the ball back as quickly as he could.

On the replay I think you can see the side judge even further back, marking the spot along the sideline. When the umpire resets the ball, the side judge actually takes a step over to line up with the ‘new’ spot, which was still further downfield than where the actual spot would have been.

Did anybody else watch Hard Knocks this year? It doesn't surprise me at all Dallas flamed out this early.

Dak isn't a real leader and you could tell Elliott has reached the point in his career he's more interested in "relaxing" than winning games. Add in "Health and Safety Protocols" genius Amari Cooper and you have a talented team with absolutely no brain cells and an uninspiring coach.

CD Lamb is a legit talent with his head on straight and they'd rather feed Cedrick Wilson and Schultz targets instead of getting one of the best young playmakers involved.

Team is a trainwreck and got what they deserved.

McCarthy is not the coach you want to get you a super bowl with. Yes, he got one with the packers but that team was just more talented than the rest. More won it in spite of MM than because. Reason he didn’t get back.

Well this is the franchise that spent over a cool billion to build a stadium that runs east-west too...

I don't watch a lot of NFL but with the WR talent Pittsburg has they should be a really good offensive team (I know Ju Ju was hurt most of the year).

There is nothing better than watching Stephen A laughing at pictures of all these Cowboy fans crying at the game yesterday. It is awesome!

This is a dumb take. Their offense was the best in the league this year, even with CD and Amari sitting out quite a few games. Their issues stem from an inconsistent D and some small gaps on the O line.

They lost a one possession game to a good playoff team. It sucks but it happens, pretty far from a trainwreck.

Mike McCarthy is a big issue.
