***CFB Conference Championship Games Thread***

I think in an ideal system, you have the conference championships as the extended playoff and then you have the champions face off in the real playoff

with the current system, I believe Iowa would be in the discussion for the 3rd or 4th spot if they won today and obliterated michigan

do I think they are one of the 4 best teams in the country in terms of talent? no

do I think they are deserving of being in the discussion if they are the champions of the big 10? yes

Which conferences?

Iowa should not be in the discussion.

yeah I think it's more likely that michigan just wins and then I believe michigan's resume is deserving of going to the playoff

fwiw, I also don't think michigan is a top 4 team in terms of talent

This year the only two teams with top 4 talent are Bama and Georgia. The other two slots will be filled only because they have to be.

You're right.... this is the B1G... so Michigan will try to take the air out of the ball now with their 7 pt lead.

No, it's not that. The 'B1G no offense' thing is like the 'B12 no defense' thing. They both sound stupid.

They'll just screw around when they have a chance to really stamp Iowa out.

They'd be smart to continue running downhill off tackle but that will be too simple for Jimmy.

Yeah, im not sure why that's so hard to get.

Are the teams in the final 4\elite 8\sweet 16 the best 4\8\16 teams every year? Absolutely not.

The teams that did the best in the regular season got positioned most favorably, but from then on, its all decided on the field. Not by some shady committee.
agree 100%

Dang. They'll have to play some other 5 star all-world athlete instead. Seriously though, sucks for the kid.

I didn't watch Bama much last year and feel like I missed out not being able to watch more of DeVonta Smith when he got hurt.

Gets the ball on the outside....will probably get the first down...and is now 30 yards downfield in his sleep.

Is Iowa going to get shut out? Their defense is going to need to outscore Michigan on their own.

Of all the stud WR's they have had, I think Smith might have been the best. He was unstoppable

Ok I thought they'd pull trick plays but not to just do it.

Too early but MI is more on point than I figured they'd be.
