Haven’t had time to read through the thread but for anyone that needs the base image for future meme material.

Bob seems confident...or not about the Big 12 media rights

"I feel very good about the alignment going forward," Bowlsby said. "I feel good about the value of our (media) packages, but in a shrinking cable environment and kind of an uncertain streaming environment, there's not a lot of certainty around what future evaluations will be. But in the end, it's always the same. It's good to have live content, and it's only worth what somebody will pay you for it."

That leads me to believe that our media deal will increase a little, but don't expect it to be in the Big 10 or SEC range.

Some great perspective on how the Big 12 Championship game crushed Pac 12, ACC and AAC championship games in viewership...with no OU and Texas involved...and three ranked teams ready to join up.

The Big 12 actually will be just fine, competitively. But there will never be true stability if financial shares are not comparable to other conferences you compete against. It is what it is at this point, we will just have to live with it.
