Really? ISU has at least a couple of times received preference in bowl bids because our fans travel well. Are you contending that other teams don’t travel well to bowl games?

The last three years they had a losing record they averaged 54,000 fans. They have NEVER sold out 3 conservative games. Is that good? Is it “unreal”?Good crowds even in bad years.
Other schools in the area champion that as a viable aspect..why can't ISU?
Some do some don’t. Hawkeye and Cyclone fans are exceptional. It’s because our state doesn’t have any professional teams. Pretty simple actually. Are you contending that other teams don’t travel well to bowl games?

Maybe they have a bit of a Texas problem.

61,500 for those last two years. No, I dont think that is “unreal” fan supportIn a 55-60,000 person stadium?
What do you think?
Again: why do you generic Hok fans interject?
On a side note...
Twitter sucks. Matt really has the attention of TOE fans. Half of the comments aren't very complementary about ISU or coach.
Plus the first thing I see this morning is a video of a guy getting shot in Texas....lordy

I’m just trying to understand why every ISU fan thinks their fanbase is somehow special. You have decent support for being the 2nd choice in a small state. But I don’t really see anything special or “unreal” about it.Why do you care?
Very good point. Maybe that's the challenge for CMC is to be the exception to that trend...and of course all those that fail do so with LOTS of money...but doesn't seem like what CMC would want to do.If you have to use examples from 10-20 years ago to prove your point, I think that says it all.
For everyone one guy who made it back to another big time opportunity, there are 10 guys that didn’t.
My point is that if Matt Campbell takes the USC job and fails, it will be an uphill battle to get back to where he is right now. Not impossible, but very, very difficult.
It doesn’t make you weird. Nearly 19 million people live there. Seems to be one of the top choices for Americans to liveI’d go to USC way before LSU, but that’s just me…. I’m one of those weird people that like LA.
It was my first choice from out of state. Ricky when did you graduate from U of I?I’m just trying to understand why every ISU fan thinks their fanbase is somehow special. You have decent support for being the 2nd choice in a small state. But I don’t really see anything special or “unreal” about it.
