Maybe they have a bit of a Texas problem.

I'm not sure which of Texas's numerous problems you're referring to specifically but despite USC's historical standing and (very high) ceiling as a program, no school is such a juggernaut as to be immune to athletic department dysfunction or bad coaching hires. It can happen to any program.

The last three years they had a losing record they averaged 54,000 fans. Is that good?

In a 55-60,000 person stadium?

What do you think?

Again: why do you generic Hok fans interject?

On a side note...

Twitter sucks. Matt really has the attention of TOE fans. Half of the comments aren't very complementary about ISU or coach.

Plus the first thing I see this morning is a video of a guy getting shot in Texas....lordy

That's the typical trolling tavern hawk take, ocellate wildly between "Ha, ha, your coach is going to get hired away!" and "Ha, ha, you suck , who would want your coach?"

If you have to use examples from 10-20 years ago to prove your point, I think that says it all.

For everyone one guy who made it back to another big time opportunity, there are 10 guys that didn’t.

My point is that if Matt Campbell takes the USC job and fails, it will be an uphill battle to get back to where he is right now. Not impossible, but very, very difficult.
Very good point. Maybe that's the challenge for CMC is to be the exception to that trend...and of course all those that fail do so with LOTS of money...but doesn't seem like what CMC would want to do.

Iowa is playing for a Big 10 championship, yet we're still top of mind.

I’m just trying to understand why every ISU fan thinks their fanbase is somehow special. You have decent support for being the 2nd choice in a small state. But I don’t really see anything special or “unreal” about it.
It was my first choice from out of state. Ricky when did you graduate from U of I?

But you're on that team's site?

Again, why do you care?

I hear the same about Iowa...they think they're America's team, everyone's biggest rival etc. yet you step out of the state, they're an after thought.

Just another generic Hok fan with nothing else to offer.
