All FB coaching rumors and speculation

He was the OC under Urban Meyer. It’s like when you are 6 sitting on your grandpas lap in the tractor with your hands on the steering wheel.

With bigger tires and a faster tractor than everyone else.

I’m gonna need clarification…..he ****** half our girls while here with his wife? Or while here with his wife, he ****** half our sorority girls? Cause that’s a big diff….
Either way sounds like a fun time to hang with him, amiright?

Maybe if USC doesn’t get CMC they can try to get Coach Otz. He’s hot right now, and he seems like a pretty jacked dude and looks like a football coach. He could probably pull some dudes off the portal and get them off to a 6-0 start too.

Honestly, and I'm sure I'm in minority but of all the jobs I think he'd fit the best (outside of Iowa State obviously) ......

it'd be Washington. A University that wants to win but it isn't the insane fish bowl of LSU or even USC - has a fairly good academic reputation, has had a program already built some by Coach Petersen and has a decent history of success. From a fit perspective, I'd say it's a better fit than LSU or USC but not as good of a fit IMO as Iowa State but of course I'm biased.

The one issue with Washington is their Athletic Director. She may be on thin ice. As head coach I would want to have some confidence the AD will be around.

Although some people say Matt Campbell isn't about the money. The reality is money matters when people reach the elite level. With Tucker getting $9.5M from Michigan State that sets the bar pretty high for successful coaches getting hired into the Big 10 & SEC.

I would think USC could pay their HC $9-10M without blinking. But not sure about Washington or most other Pac 12 schools as long as the Pac12 TV contract is up in the air. The financials will matter, but equally important is the political environment on west coast campuses. Same goes for the Big12 and ACC unless the school is drawing 75k or more for home games.

It’s also remote as can be. Think Ames is difficult to get to?

Heacock is like Campbell in that he genuinely loves coaching and molding the players
I dont doubt that. He's a treasure, pure and simple. But even guys who love their jobs have families and other factors that might start to come into the future etc...

I hope he coaches till he's 80. Just my fear for the future, not exactly this particular off-season

I’m not joking, honest questions. I thought he was liked in Ames, granted he left for Ohio State then, but his own Texas did him bad, so to me he isn’t bad if he wants to continue what Campbell has done here. Plus Chris Williams loves him, so there’s that. He can also recruit big in Texas.
Uh...no.

I've nothing against him as a coach, probably does deserve another chance somewhere but not here. That'd be a re-tread IMO.
