I guess I don't understand why people continue to make excuses about youth or whatever with this team. It's pretty simple as to why we suck. Our offense is a complete disaster. It consists of Brackins working down low and 4 guys standing around the perimeter. After about 25 seconds, we either hoist a three or have Brackins shoot a contested fade away jumper from 15 feet. It's not rocket science. You can have all the talent and experience you want, but if you continue to run crap like this on offense it won't matter.
Well whatever you tell me I really don't care what you have to say. Maybe its because your a major hypocrite. ( Ex. Greg McDermott).

Not really a hypcrite. When you wanted to give up on the season and all the doom and gloom it was after the UC-davis game, which we won (barely). I had hoped as the season progressed we'd find our form and our offense. But we haven't and Coach Mac can't run a good offense, and we don't have the strong posts to rebound and play defense, and run our offense around. Hence why i've changed my mind about Coach Mac. That isn't behing hyprocritcal at all, rather gaining more insight on how our team really is.
Agreed man, the offense is awful!! I have yet to see a good offensive "play." the only thing we do is set picks for the guards, who besides DG are to slow to go to the hole and do anything with it, throw up 3's or give it to brackins who dribbles 3 times and someone from the back side sneeks up and steals it from him.
The other thing that seems to not work, is with 30 seconds left inthe half, set a high pick for DG and see if he can get a layup as the buzzer sounds. I don't think a coach in the nation wouldn't be ready for that one, but gmac seems to go to it every time. Maybe he thinks it's an element of suprise:biggrin: hahahaha. Do we have another last second set play? prob not.

lol, I also heard that Penn State's volleyball championship was their second of the year following the one they got for most arrests in the off-season. Iowa was a trailing second.
Maybe McD just needs a better offensive coordinator.

Is it just me or is Lucca the only one who seems to give a **** if we win or lose (that is coach included). Craig looks the same no matter if we are up 20 (I guess I don't know that, because we are never up 20) or down 20. Peterson acts like he cares but you can tell it is just a show. The rest of the guys just have NO fire.
To show how big of a joke our program has become, there was a point where we were down 8 or so with about 5 minutes left...and we had 3 walk-ons on the floor! Peterson, Haluska and Cameron Lee all on the floor in crunch time. We are a D1 program in one of the premier conferences in the U.S. and the best we can do is 3 walk-ons?
GMAC is awful and there is no way around it. I see no amount of gameplanning, no adaptability and nothing that makes me think we can ever compete with him running the show. I know many people (myself included) we behind Morgan getting fired. But right now I would take a .500 team that had some amount of excitment about them than this god awful display.
I also want to go on the record as saying I don't blame the players. Anyone that has a clue about basketball can tell that these men are coachable, and they are being coached to feed CB at all costs, and CB is told to throw it up whenever possible. Lucca is amazingly underused, and the rest of our guys just look unsure and not confident when they have the ball.
The worst part of all this is we used 5 schollies this year on people who I cannot see playing a huge role anywhere in the future. I think Buckley is solid, and for some strange reason does not see the floor. JVB has been unimpressive and Ham is a role player on any respectable team at best. Mann hasn't seen the floor and who knows with L.A. To me, at best that is 3 out of 5 scholarships down the tube.
This problem won't be resolved anytime soon. Pollard won't be in any kind of hurry to admit is second hiring mistake this soon, and will continue to back him as we continue to lose and bore the fans. I know I will NOT be attending any more games as long as he is at the helm because even when we do so, it is so boring and so difficult to watch our style of play remain the same no matter the time and situation. He has to go, JP needs to chalk it up as a loss and find someone who is less bullheaded and more adaptable.

I'm sorry. It hurts me that my first post on this forum is this one, but I just can't stay quiet on this.
Tim Floyd only had one scholarship player on his team in his second year, and he increased his win total from the year before. He lost something close to 98% of his scoring between year one and two, and he put a better product on the floor.
I've not missed a cyclone home basketball game in over twenty years. I would take the Lee Love and Paris Corner year over what McD is putting on the floor right now. At least they pretended that they wanted to be playing the game they were in.
McD has had three years to bring his players in to at least start to show us what sort of basketball he wants to play. I'm scared he's done just that.
As a 1990 grad and very patient Clone fan who has communicated with Pollard, this is the most embarrassing basketball loss I can remember in the last 20 years.

This is just extremely embarrassing! How the hell a major conference team loses to SDSU is unthinkable. I was a supporter of Mac when he was hired, but right now i would take Morgan back in a heartbeat. At least his teams were fun to watch, instead we get this CSPAN type stuff

Of all the things to complain about with ISU basketball and you whine about the one and only guy that plays with some fire, the one and only guys that looks like he cares if they win or lose? The guy plays his heart out, who knows the status of his knee, is passing up making a LOT of money playing over seas, stuck around ISU even though he couldn't play last year...and you are giving him a hard time because idiots like you built him up through your chanting?
