I am about one more bad loss from putting the rest of my season tickets in an envelope and mailing them to Pollard. I am just sick about the state of our basketball program right now.

You could mail them to me. I will make sure he gets them...

Here's a question, with our program in the shape I'm being led to believe it is, what coach in their right mind would want to come here even if we tried to get a new one?

"we are not a football school, and it is much easier and takes less time to build a winning basketball program." And "one post season bid...because the NIT doesn't count....in three years is not enough."

This was said at the old CN by people who supported the first order of business by our new AD.....remember?

I think that is a large part of it. That and we honestly just don't have the athletes.

Against South Dakota State? Does it take a game aginst the OPoor Sister of Carmel to win big? Coaches fault. Coaches fault. 17 point favorites and lose in a snooze. We won two categories and loss tren others. Plkain crappy on youir own home court. Hey, there isa no excuse for this cupcake.

Yes. Didn't JP make a statement once about BB being the flagship program or something to that effect?

I think SDSU had better athletes than we did AND better coaching. Call me crazy but we are in BAD shape.

I would hope that Jamie attends some practices to determine how the b-ball program has sunk to this level. If you ignored the "Iowa State" on the jerseys, you'd have thought SDSU was playing Loras or Morningside, or worse. I cannot understand how we have become so bad; GMac's UNI teams never played like this...

The Drake game put a dagger in me, the Iowa game twisted it around so that it hurt like hell .........and this game pulled the dagger out and wiped the blood off on my shirt..........pardon me while I lay here and bleed to death.

So what would be the excuse against Iowa?
Excuse? You didn't notice that Iowa played well at home, and got trashed at Drake? You didn't notice that generally speaking (aside from a bland home crowd with the students gone) we play better at home? Such is the way of any freshmen. They play better at home than on the road.

Please stop making excuses for our program and explain how our lack of progression on the court the past 2+ years is acceptable.
What, you missed the whole "There's ONE player in the program who's been here more than a year and a half"? You missed that our best player transferred at the end of last year, after it was too late to recruit a replacement? You missed that the only point guard on the team the year before was kicked off, just before the season, when it was far too late to recruit an adequate replacement?

When bad stuff happens, you don't just turn over a new leaf overnight. There's a reason Chris Colvin thinks he's going to see a lot of playing time next season. And Gilstrap, too.

Care to explain why better than 95% of BCS programs are in better shape than us?
Care to support that claim with facts?

Even so, the reason this program is in such bad shape (however bad that is) is because it fell apart. It started sucking as Eustachy's drinking problem worsened, and went into the ******** as we fired coach after coach. Firing another coach sure as hell won't help.

Make any argument you want, but the facts are that the CEO of every company is responsible no matter what.

That's an old argument, and patently untrue. If an accountant embezzles millions of dollars, is the CEO held responsible? If the union goes on strike, with patently unreasonable demands, is the CEO held responsible? Not hardly.

He's had the 'in over his head' look for three years now. I think it is worse and more noticeable this year than the first two.

This is all because Greg Mcdermott is a hawkeye fan, he came here for one thing. To destroy the ISU basketball program. haha
