enough with the JP has to go crap...he made one bad mistake we think in hiring GMac, Gmac will be gone soon if things dont change. I'm still in full support of JP though.

Look, Pollard has done some really positive things here financially, but the product on the court/field has been terrible. Someone needs to be held accountable for that. He's the AD, he hired these guys. You can't keep passing the blame off to other people. JP made some highly questionable decisions while he's been here and our basketball program is currently 11th or 12th in the conference and the football program is the same. He deserves a lot of blame for that IMO. Certainly not all, but a good percentage of it.

Before this game I was 100 percent behind Coach Mac, but after it my thoughts about his ability to coach have changed. I don't care how young this team is, the coach needs to come to this game prepared. I am truly hoping once Mac gets more quality guards, we can become an up-tempo offense because this MVC offense is not going to last in the Big XII.

....oh well, apathy has set in. Whenever this happens, I pull out my Tim Floyd vs Kansas VHS and relive some glory days........

I have that tape to watch and our run to the Elite 8...unbelievable to see the size of our guys. We look and play like a DII school right now.

My passion is ISU Basketball and this is killing me. This is the first night I actually, in all reality, would like LE back. He can coach circles around GMac.

Lucca is horrible he hasn't done anything this year besides one game in which we lost it what a waste of chants he can't pass can't dribble and a terrible defender besides a good shooter what a total waste of chanting (so far)

Punctuation is your friend. Use it.

please tell me what he has done besides drake honestly name it he couldn't make a shot to save his life
get your heads out of his rear

Great support you are for a player who wants to be here and plays hard. How much experience does he have playing DIV1. This has nothing to do with a love affair with Lucca. Before he even stepped out in game 1 we said expectations needed to be dampened. Hes not a savior, smart people understand that. But he will contribute.

disagree we need posts who can grab a rebound and play defense!

I had to reread this a couple of times as I got lost in the sea of words, but I disagree fully.

yeah excuse me for babbeling i am so mad right now
thats fine you disagree
but i haven't seen much out of him (playing wise) he seems to be a great guy with a great story
so was Jiri and Julius

The problem with both the team and the coach is the lack of emotion or passion. I don't see anybody diving for loose balls, hustling or utilizing the basic fundamentals. That falls on both the coach and the players.

...And that's not even pointing out the obvious, that he was our second leading scorer tonight...

Un-freakin-believable.

There are no fundamentals:rebounding, shot selection, positioning.

There is no passion, from the coach. I can't figure out the method to his madness on when he calls timeouts.

Unexcusable after 3 years. We need a warrier on the court...no, we need a freakin' KILLA!!!

JP should just stay on the coaching trail since he is so familiar with it.:arghh::arghh:

Brackins is soft...he will never be a threat down low...fades on EVERTHING...if he could fade away on a dunk he would.:biglaugh:

We haven't had a strong inside player since Homan.....and how many years ago did he graduate? There is absolutely no muscle on this team, but especially in the post. We cannot overpower anyone physically, and get our lunch handed to us the entire B12 season. And Brakins, he would do so much better if there strong physical presence along with him on the front line.

Look at our front line players compared to the other B12 leaders....we are way too skinny

I agree with your post to a certain extent. I do believe he should be held responsible on the hiring of Gmac, but can you blame him for the recruits that Gmac has brought in and the mind set that he stll thinks its in the MVC? i dont think so. Football isnt his fault, who could have seen Gene leaving when it got tough. It's not like getting to be a top tier program is going to be easy, there are going to be struggles, but im really excited for football...But there defiently needs to be a change in the basketball area. So i think only a small amount should be placed of Jamie, not a good portion like you say. Just my 2 cents worth.

JP has shown that he's a good with administrative issues, public relations, fund raising, etc. The thing he hasn't shown yet is whether he knows how to hire coaches.

Georgetown runs a completly different offense. not anything like iowa state. Georgetown also has the horses to run the race. they had a lottery pick a couple years ago and have a top big guy in the nation.
Oh, so for Georgetown, it's not the slow offense, but the talent?
