I figured the last spot was going to come back for OSU since that might also be the first time I've seen it spotted, measured, then reviewed after the call was made.

People are disagreeing and dumbing my post too, despite there being literal video evidence in this thread that he started high stepping before the end zone (looks like the 5, not the 10 like I originally said). Still a dumb call. Still a call that shouldn’t have happened. Still high stepped going into the end zone.
They felt bad about that call and made it up later including the spot.

Yeah...when I say I won't argue with it, I mean some sort of flag for the high step. Stupid call, but he high stepped.

Yes. But the very minor high stepping was not excessive celebration. So the “literal visual evidence” of a player not excessively celebrating? It’s not a penalty. That is why people are clicking the dumb button on ya.
They include “excessive” in the name of the penalty for a reason.
What part about it was dumb? The part where I said it was a dumb call? Or the part where I said he started high stepping before the end zone. Because both of those things are most definitely true.
I was responding the a guy that was saying he definitively didn’t celebrate until after getting into the end zone. That’s just not true. I don’t think anyone in here is arguing the call itself is a dumb call and a dumb penalty that shouldn’t have happened.
Anyone that is even remotely putting forth some conditioned defense of that completely wrong call deserves all the dumb ratings.
