The CBA tragedy and stripping the stadium for KU are not even close to apples to apples.
What's your point? I didn't equate the two, just said I participated in both, and I didn't bring it into the discussion.

Not surprising you missed the point. Using the phrase "Change starts with you" is generally reserved for something truly meaningful like big social issues, not something trivial like making sure we all wear the same color shirts.
You missed the point. People can make small changes in their lives that can add up to something big. Thinking that I can only make changes on big things is often what stops people from making small changes. If you see that line of thinking as only reserved for big issues that is a you problem.

And once again you got it wrong. I have never said, "change starts with you." Putting it on someone else is not what I'm saying. I'm saying if someone wants this to happen they need to worry about themselves instead of worrying about everyone else. But you have continued to not get it. You likely never will so just move on.

Is this actually happening? Would like to see it announced from the athletic department if it is. I know TOE has pulled this off, and I saw a schedule they released for upcoming games, but has Iowa State ever pulled this off?

Is "istatenation" anything official? Or just some random guy?

Cardinal wasn't really the problem. It was the Gold rules games we struggle with.
Real talk. The amount of gold merch available is bad. As it should be. Cardinal please, or white, hell black now.

I own about 40 articles of ISU clothing...Only one is gold, and it is a T-Shirt. Other than the Penn St. white out which I believe was the first school to do something like this, the other attempts are just ..meh.

I mean for good reason. 90+% of cyclone gear sold is some kind of red, or a gray\black\white shirt. Most probably don't even own a gold\yellow. I know i'd have to buy one. Even those that do don't really wear them all that much.

Other schools have more balance.

The other thing working against this is the short lead time. I believe other schools that have done this planned it before the season and put something on the tickets telling people which color to wear for that seat.

Yup.

I have some friends who are going to the Iowa/Penn State game (which will be striped) and their tickets say what color of shirt to wear.

So if striping is the goal, does this mean we'll break out a gold-cardinal-gold uniform?

(I know, I know - coach hates gold; isn't going to happen anyway. But if it did, this would be a time to do it).

If this happens I am glad I'll be missing that game. I have my certain attire I wear for a game and I'm not changing it for something this cheesy

You nailed it. This is so cheesy. Show up. Wear what you want. Be loud. This whole fan uniform thing is something of a new trend. In the 90s, everyone wore white or gray t shirts or whatever they would normally wear for the day. Now fans think they're on the team.

I do wish ISU fans could do a color out or stripe game sometime cause it's fun and looks cool on TV, but I understand a bunch of fans have a stick up their ass and think they are above it so it'll never happen. We would never pull off a stripe or gold game, but a cardinal out should be really easy to do sometime and wouldn't get much blow back from most fans
