Can the ribbon board provide instructions for the Hawkeye marching band? "Exit this way, do not push your way through the crowd, stay off my lawn!, etc."

I'm assuming they come this yr, I would be perfectly fine with campus/stadium security making them stay seated until the stadium is empty. They've proven in the past that can't handle responsibility.

Clear signage won’t help. You have to treat them like mice and offer an incentive after we smoke them. “Free Hawkeye Vodka and butt rash cream this way. Follow the giant signs!”

I’m still trying to figure out what other venue could support the infrastructure and upkeep—let alone offer the space required.
I wouldn't put it past Jamie to put it on the cross country course or on the far end of Lied...

Seriously though, it's a bunch of little screens...they could put it in a couple different places if they wanted to.

Yeah, you've got like 4 decent video boards there if you split it into quarters.

I think when Omaha replaced/updated the video board at Rosenblatt Stadium (RIP) back in the early 00's the old video board went to the HS that hosts the state track meet. They didn't use it for video but used it basically as a big text display.

They have a big screen like this facing the tailgating lots at Oregon. Wildly popular with everybody. I do not see it affecting ticket purchases that much (if at all) while significantly improving the tailgate atmosphere. Imagine re-running some of the magical moment games Okla StateWoody game or the 2000 Insight Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. HUGE net positive at Oregon.

Drove by the stadium last night and noticed a big new video board inside the corner where the Bergstrom Practice Facility connects with the new Sports Performance Center. There are big glass windows that let you stand outside or across the street in the B-6 lot and watch.

P.S. Sorry I didn't get a photo. I'll try later today.

I don't know how well the old video board would look inside and up close after being exposed to the elements for so long.

Also I was kidding when I originally said we should put it on the other side of the colossus of Rhoads, but it would be cool hah. I'd imagine they would scrap it but what do I know.

Gravel for the base of the next pour south of the SPC.

Just about the only concrete work left, I think—aside from (maybe) part of the sidewalk bordering the plaza to the east.

I expect them to be color changeable LEDs, kind of like the entrance columns along highway 30 just west of I-35.

I was wondering if they plan on installing more lights. Right now there are about half the number of lights vs what is in the rendering.
