That isn't what you're claiming in that post. "Making a murderer vibes" to me makes it seem like the prosecution is railroading him.

That was more towards the prosecution telling the defense to get ****** they aren’t working with them and the defense threatening subpoenas.

Common theme with sex trafficing is authorities burying their heads because they know it'll implicate some high stature people.

They'd just assume pretend it doesn't happen rather than go after the sickos.

A horrible, weird story gets weirder.

Meanwhile, in Madison, WI area, they're finding body parts of a 23 year old's parents and initial signs point to him doing the deed.

WI is at times the 'hold my beer' of outrageous murder stories.

As far as I could tell, most of them were legal workers from Texas who moved around the country where work was to be done (detasseling, picking vegetables etc.) but to be fair, a lot of that stuff is easy to fake and you can never be 100% sure. I never dealt with documents, just day to day work and some interviews.

Now, all over this country we have Mexican nationals working legally under the H2A farm worker program. People who hate illegal immigration but enjoy reasonably priced food should really love this program. It’s as close to a win win as you can get.

I have a massive respect for the groups I worked with. Awesome people with absolutely amazing work ethics. That’s why believing this was hard for me at first.

I'm not sure what to really think in this case. It does seem like Rivera likely did it acting alone.

However, our Justice System doesn't like to be wrong. There are examples all over the place of the Justice System deciding someone is guilty and ignoring other evidence at the time. Its not super common, and usually the face value of something holds true, but not always.

I sure hope the State is looking into the allegations from Rivera seriously. It seems outlandish, but many of the biggest crimes are often unbelievable, outlandish things.

It reminds me a lot of a true crime podcast I listened to recently. A man and his girlfriend had a home invasion occur, they were both tied up, the girlfriend was kidnapped and the man instructed to obtain money for her release and not go to the police. Later the next day the man called the police anyways and reported it. The police immediately assumed he murdered her and was spinning some elaborate story. They held him for days while the girlfriend was held hostage and raped. Eventually she was released, but officials didn't believe her story either. Eventually the guy that did the home invasion attempted another one and was caught, which ended up confirming the couples story and clearing there names.

Again, the above isn't the standard, but extreme things do happen at times, and it'd be a disservice to not treat those allegations seriously if they did lead to a larger crime.

FYI, if interested in the podcast, here's a link, its a two-parter. https://thisiscriminal.com/episode-167-48-hours-6-18-21

Lol, that account from a woman found walking walking walking along the road could be completely fabricated. Again - meth heads

Stay with me here, because this is written very sincerely, but you also seem to be discounting these things based on no evidence. It is a very slippery slope to discount witnesses because of drug use, prior criminal history, socioeconomic status, etc.

I am not saying that these people are telling the truth, but it really seems like nobody knows the truth right now and you are claiming that people who you have no experience with can't be telling the truth because they are "methheads."

They should investigate these claims but it still doesn't explain why his car was circling her several times in Brooklyn the night she went missing. If she was truly held in a trap house for awhile before being killed, how does this explain that he was circling her the night she went missing?

I’m discounting these accounts because of no charges, not no evidence.

A lack of charges doesn't always mean a lack of guilt.
You’re trying to tell me a woman was abducted in 2018 and went missing, held against her will and prostituted out of a home in New Sharon, escaped and was wondering Mahaska County roads in the middle of the night, a search warrant was executed on the home, and now the state’s just sweeping this under the rug for some reason?

I have no idea because I don't have all of the facts on the story and neither do you.

Her satellite data on her phone was used during the trial. Data was consistent with her typical running path and traveling at a 11 minute mile pace. Around the location Bahena was seen on camera her speed increased and was shown exiting the town at speeds of up to 60mph until the transmission was lost.

Again, no one is saying Rivera wasn’t involved.

Making waves? Looking for reduced sentence deals for testimony? With it being a regional/national story some guys with nothing but time on their hands decided to try and cash in? I don’t know, but even with their recent revelations it still doesn’t pass the smell test.

I guess this is where this feels a little different than you standard jailhouse confession. What incentive would the cellmate have to come forward with this when he did? It's not as though it was going to win him any favor with the prosecution that could help him in his own case since the trial had already started. At that point he was very much anti-prosecution.
