***Official 2021 NCAA Tournament Thread***

@HoopsTournament might have posted something like this already in the thread and I overlooked, so SIAP.

From 1985 to current, Final Four without a team from either ACC or Big Ten (at the time games were played).*

2021: West Coast (Gonzaga); Big 12 (Baylor); American (Houston); Pac-12 (UCLA).
2006: Pac-12 (UCLA); SEC (2) (Florida, LSU); then-Colonial (George Mason).
2003: Big East (Marquette); then-Big East (Syracuse); Big 12 (2) (Kansas, Texas).
1996: SEC (2) (Kentucky, Mississippi State); then-Big East (Syracuse); A-10 (UMass).
1985: Big East (3) (Villanova, Georgetown, St John’s); then-Metro (Memphis State).

* If I missed any, please correct me.
2011: Big East (Connecticut); Colonial (VCU); Horizon (Butler); SEC (Kentucky)
2003: Marquette was in CUSA not Big East

Other years with no ACC or Big Ten (since 1953-54 when ACC started)
1975: ECAC Upstate (Syracuse); SEC (Kentucky); Pac 10 (UCLA); Missouri Valley (Louisville)
1971: Pac 10 (UCLA); Ohio Valley (Western Kentucky); Independent (Villanova); Big 8 (Kansas)
1970: Pac 10 (UCLA); Independent (3) (Jacksonville, New Mexico State, St. Bonaventure)
1959: Pac 10 (Cal); Missouri Valley (Cincinnati); Independent(Louisville); Southern (West Virginia)
1958: Big 8 (Kansas State); SEC (Kentucky); Independent (2) (Seattle, Temple)
1954: Pac 10 (USC); Independent (3) (La Salle, Penn State, Bradley)

The 'best 3 point shooting team in the country' thing tends to not be reliable but if you do everything else really well like Baylor it's just another thing they do.

Thanks -- I went thru quick and missed '11, forgot about Marquette '03 -- lost track in realignment process.

Wow. 25 point lead at half. This is over

So I guess 2 exhibitions today before what should be a great final on Monday.
And Houston is not a good offensive team, so if they cannot shut down the opponent, no chance
