Jayden Nunn Decommits

And????

What's so hard to understand about my 2 comments?

I'm somewhere in the middle ground between he should be able to get better than "zero star" players with no other Power-6 offers and Carr who will be the most heavily recruited transfer maybe in history and will hsve his pick of Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc.

We’ve known about this since Wednesday. If we knew about it by then, TJ knew about it before. Not that he could have reached out in that time, but he certainly could have drafted a text template to text to them over the course of days since he took over.
He obviously didn’t want Nunn. He offered and talked to Lipsey before he even talking to Nunn who is a commited player. T.J.’s plans didn’t involve Nunn.

Oh, so the second you are hired, before you are even introduced you are personally communicating with every single member of your team? The first thing you do when you take over a bew company is personally chat with the minimum wage employees. All of them. Yourself? No delegation of any kind?

Without commenting on the nature of what happened, becasue I don’t know.

The former staff was reaching on a lot of guys the last few years. Guys that might be better served at a different competion level.

Staff turnover. Stuff happens. This is one of the reasons why it's so easy to transfer now. Good luck to Jayden wherever he lands.
We certainly don't have the whole story. It is quite conceivable that TJ's interest (or lack thereof) has been communicated indirectly. Otherwise, this is a really hasty move on Nunn's part.
The fact that Nunn is teammates with TJs top UNLV get, Kaluma, makes this even more questionable. If you think you stand a shot there, do you even risk making coaches and handlers at their prep school mad?

There's no way it's accidental, just very strange.
Yes. We are not getting the whole story here. Something seems a little out of place.

I can almost guarantee Mr. Nunn was contacted in some way. Obviously it was not in a way Nunn was anticipating. Even if true, I do not care for the way Nunn worded his tweet.

Anyway we may be jumping the gun on this. Who are we going to believe, an 18 y/o recruit who feels spurned or a new coaching staff who rightly is keeping quiet and not posting their every move?

TJ is coach. Coaches know what they are doing when it comes to recruits, that I am sure. I am willing to let this play out. Admittedly at first this didn't sound too good.

This is such a dumb comparison to begin with, but yea, when you only have 15 employees and 12 of them are minimum wage employees, it’s certainly not hard to do.

Oh come on.

If I was committed to a school and the new head coach didn’t call me for 3 days, I’d be pissed.

Tyrese Hunter signed. Jayden Nunn hadn’t. Which other schools are after Nunn?

This team lost 22 games last year. There isn’t much worth saving.

I get the thought.... but going asking TJ to show progress in year one with 12 new players isn't fair either. There are good players on the roster who can play in the Big 12. It is much easier to sell the program to his first recruiting class finishing above .500.
Keeping the high level players to build a core for in the next two years is important to set up Otz's tenure as coach.

Again, not saying that we should have honored the offer. I'm saying that I can see why the kid would be pissed. Jesus, he's an 18 year old. They aren't the most logical. But TJ should be able to anticipate that and deal with it. Isn't that supposed to be his strength?
