Bag on Prohm all you want but until the players decide to rebound this loss is on them - the rebounding was the difference in the game.
Give me a break. The players don’t have a competent offensive scheme to run to get buckets in the last 10 minutes of the game. No good looks off of a motion that is drawn up by coach.
And the decision to not have JCL and Bolton in the game with 12 seconds left in the event you force a turnover. This game is absolutely on the coaching staff. In fact there is not a better example of this staff’s failings over the last 4 years then the final 10 minutes of this game.

I would like to see Prohm get tossed early in a game(I know it won’t happen) and see if the assistants might do better

I'm devastated; this is the lowest. And I was there for the 3-win season in the 70's. Despair; this sucks.
I do feel we can win a game, maybe two. although we've lost 12 in a row, it's really hard to lose every conf game.18 in a row...right ? i dunno. this sucks.
We won’t lose 18 conference games because the Big 12 doesn’t want to make up the Iowa State at Kansas State game.

The problem is the way he puts teams together. We needed shooting, a pg and rebounding coming into this year. He brought in a bunch of combo guards who aren’t great shooters, a stretch 4 who didn’t have a great reputation as a rebounder and a 5 ‘ 9” shooting guard.

And it’s also so clear they take on his persona. You want them to rebound... demand it. Go 13 deep until you find some energy if you have to. He just demand nothing out of them. No accountability.

Exactly - we've had the worst half-court offensive sets under Prohm. The only time it does work is when we have NBA-type talent, otherwise like you said: no motion off the ball; three guys standing on the perimeter, one setting a high-ball screen and one trying to go one on one only to chuck up a trey.

I miss going through the five stages of grief after a loss. I'm just numb and nothing can hurt me anymore with this program....

The numbness/apathy is what gets me. Another loss or a win doesn’t matter anymore. There’s no postseason hopes or even any sort of hope/momentum for the future. It’s a low point in the program. Which sucks, now that football is at its high point. Can’t have both I suppose.

Weird because you gave up on football almost every game.

It’s a fine strategy until you don’t have any timeouts anymore. Then the proper strategy is to have your best players on the floor in the event of a turnover. If you don’t....well you get what happened in the last 12 seconds.

yeah it’s great until you don’t have time it’s, just Steve learning on the job

Does getting a win really matter at this point, except to say we got a conference win?

The door is closed, and there is no way that ISU or any school can bring back a coach with as bad as a conference record as we are going to have after 6 years in the program, Covid or not.

Last three seasons 10th, 9th and 10th. Its time for a change.

Worst coached team in the nation. 21 offensive rebounds. 2...1.... And if that’s bad enough we go the last 1/4th of the game without a field goal, and hell we couldn’t even get a decent look. This is coaching malpractice.
Officially, 2-17 in last nine minutes of the game. I reffed a 9th grade game earlier tonight where the one team (that blew a big lead and lost on last second shot) went about 3-30 in second half by jacking up stupid long shots when they could get inside at will.
